Jake Moody, K, San Francisco 49ers
Week 17 Kicker Rank: 4

San Francisco 49ers rookie kicker Jake Moody hit a 45-yard field goal and two extra points in the team's Christmas night loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The third-round pick has been two-for-two on field goals over the last two games. Both field goals were from over 40 yards, which broke a mid-season streak of six games without a 40-plus yarder.

This week, Moody kicks against the Washington Commanders, the worst defense in the league by yardage. Moody likely has another one of his extra-point jamborees -- he leads the league -- but he is a good kicker on a team that spends as much time near the goalposts as San Francisco always has upside. Moody is a top option this week in fantasy championships.

Tyler Bass, K, Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass disappointed from a fantasy perspective in last Saturday's 24-22 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, drilling his lone field-goal attempt and each of his three extra-point tries. Though it was a 29-yard chip shot, Bass' converted field goal came in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter to keep Buffalo's playoff bid alive. The Bills came into Week 16 as double-digit favorites against a Chargers team missing four of their biggest stars, seemingly positioning them to form a lead and play from ahead.

However, such a positive game script never quite materialized in that one, as the team essentially played down to a far inferior squad. Bass hopes for a different tune at home in Week 17 versus the New England Patriots, virtually finding himself in the same favorable setup as he did in his last time out. With no legitimate weather concerns in Orchard Park on Sunday, Bass should be treated as a top-10 kicking play.

Chris Boswell, K, Pittsburgh Steelers
Week 17 Kicker Rank: 24

Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell did not attempt a field goal in Week 15 and converted on just one of his two extra-point tries in a 30-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. This marked Boswell's first missed extra point since the 2021-2022 campaign. The 32-year-old will hope to get back on track against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.

Although Boswell turned in a solid fantasy showing in a meeting with Cincinnati in Week 12, he'll be more difficult to trust this week with quarterback Mason Rudolph leading the Steelers' offense. This contest is not projected for an abundance of points scored, so fantasy managers would be wise to look elsewhere for a starting kicker.
