With last week in the rearview, it's time to look ahead to Week 14 with our wide receiver fantasy football waiver wire pickups. There are some good upside wide receivers out there on the waiver wire, so this is a good chance for you to bolster your fantasy lineup.
Below, you'll find some wide receivers that you should be targeting on the fantasy football waiver wire ahead of Week 14. Not all of these waiver wire options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster.

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups For Week 14
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks - 57% rostered
Rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba got off to a rocky start to his NFL career, but he's finally putting things together. He led the Seahawks in targets this week with 11, catching seven of those for 62 yards. The presence of D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett puts a little damper on JSN's upside, but he's getting more and more work and is startable as a flex option in 12-team leagues. You're not finding much at this point in the season on the waiver wire with that kind of upside.
Noah Brown, Houston Texans - 40% rostered
Rookie phenom Tank Dell suffered a fractured fibula on Sunday, which looks likely to keep him out for the rest of the season. This week, Dell's absence meant a lot of targets for Nico Collins, with the ball heading his way 12 times. The only other wide receivers targeted were Noah Brown and John Metchie III, who combined for five targets but just one catch.
On one hand, it's not great that Dell missed a large amount of this game and Brown finished with two targets and no receptions. On the other hand, the extended absence for Dell should lead to production for Brown considering he has a pair of 150-plus yard games to his name this year. Houston's upcoming schedule isn't great, but a Week 15 meeting with the Titans could be a smash spot for Brown.
Elijah Moore, Cleveland Browns - 43% rostered
The Browns started Joe Flacco at quarterback this week and Amari Cooper exited the game with a concussion in the second quarter. Combine those things and you get the closest thing we've seen this season to an Elijah Moore breakout game. The former Jets wideout saw a season-high 12 targets, though he only brought in four of those for 83 yards. Still, I really like the increased usage here, with Moore seeing 21 targets over the past few games. If Cooper misses next week's game against Jacksonville and the Browns stick with Flacco, there's flex appeal with Moore against the Jaguars in Week 14.
Odell Beckham Jr., Baltimore Ravens - 39% rostered
The Ravens were on a bye this week, but in the two previous games, veteran Odell Beckham Jr. combined for 12 targets. He has either 100 yards or a touchdown in three of the past four games. Look -- this isn't vintage OBJ, but he's been playing a pretty important role for the Ravens lately and he has a couple of appealing matchups ahead.
Curtis Samuel, Washington Commanders - 38% rostered
There's been a growing sentiment that Curtis Samuel is better than Jahan Dotson, to the point where that seems to be a widely accepted belief. Could he be better than Terry McLaurin, too?
Probably not from a talent perspective, but he's outplayed McLaurin two weeks in a row. One week after his first 100-yard game of the season, Samuel caught four passes for 65 yards. If he wasn't on a bye in Week 14, I might have him higher in these rankings because of how productive he's been over the past couple of games.
Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers - 20% rostered
With Mike Williams and Joshua Palmer on IR, the Chargers kind of just have to target rookie Quentin Johnston at this point, even though he's struggled. He had his best game from a numbers standpoint this week, catching five of his seven targets for 52 yards. He also had a back-breaking drop. He has some appeal from a volume perspective, but I'm not super confident in it. There's a reason he's last in this section of the article.
Wide Receiver Deeper League Pickups For Week 14
Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts - 2% rostered
I don't have snap counts for this week in front of me, but I do have them for every other week, which shows that Alec Pierce has played 90% or more of Indianapolis' snaps in all but one game. Despite this, the production just hasn't really come.
Until this week, that is. Pierce was targeted six times, catching three passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Gardner Minshew seemed comfortable targeting Pierce down the field in this one, something that's definitely worth taking note of. The fact that Pierce is always on the field means that if Minshew really is going to look to get him more involved on deeper routes, there will be plenty of opportunities.
Jonathan Mingo, Carolina Panthers - 6% rostered
Alright, it's time to acknowledge that Jonathan Mingo's increased role is for real. For the fourth game in a row, the rookie had at least six targets, with a season-high 10 of them against the Buccaneers this week. He caught six of those for 69 yards, the second week in a row that Mingo has 60-plus receiving yards. The upcoming schedule isn't kind to pass attacks, but Mingo has turned into Carolina's only downfield weapon, with Adam Thielen mainly existing as the short-yardage option. There's upside, even if Mingo's issues with actually catching the passes thrown his way give him a lower floor than fantasy managers are probably comfortable with.
Jalin Hyatt, New York Giants - 4% rostered
The Giants were on a bye this week, but back in Week 12, rookie Jalin Hyatt had a good showing with 109 receiving yards, a new career-best mark. Will it be a sign of things to come? His first two career games with 75 or more yards were followed up by games without a reception, so the trend there might suggest Hyatt won't see much of a role this week. We'll see if he can buck that.
DeVante Parker, New England Patriots - 3% rostered
With Demario Douglas out due to a concussion, DeVante Parker saw nine targets to lead the Patriots receivers, catching four of them for 64 yards. He's the only productive receiver on this team with Douglas sidelined, but the problem is that this passing offense isn't good enough to sustain even two fantasy-relevant receivers. Even if Douglas is back next week, there won't really be much use for Parker. He's worth adding in deep leagues but is only worth starting if Douglas misses another game.
John Metchie III, Houston Texans - 1% rostered
While Noah Brown will likely be the biggest beneficiary of the Tank Dell injury, don't count out John Metchie III. He was targeted three times in Week 13, one more than Brown. He was the only wide receiver other than Nico Collins with a reception, catching a nine-yard pass. Pretty speculative add here, but the Texans have a high-powered passing attack, so there is a chance Metchie can deliver some big numbers in Week 15 or Week 17, both games against the Titans.
Xavier Gipson, New York Jets - 0% rostered
One of the biggest surprises this week was Jets wide receiver Xavier Gipson, who was targeted six times, catching five passes for 77 yards. His previous high in terms of yardage was 32 yards back in Week 9.
I'll be real here -- I don't know what to think about this performance. He looks like the No. 2 receiver for the Jets, but the New York passing attack has really struggled. Maybe the team will start Trevor Siemian at QB against the Texans, something that could theoretically be good for the Jets' passing offense.
Demarcus Robinson, Los Angeles Rams - 0% rostered
Demarcus Robinson had by far his best game with the Rams, catching four of his five targets for 55 yards and a touchdown. The veteran might have passed Tutu Atwell in the pecking order, so there's theoretically some value considering Cooper Kupp hasn't looked like his old self. Worth an add in a 16-team league if you're desperate at wide receiver.
