Amon-Ra St. Brown Injury Update

Amon-Ra St. Brown suffered an abdominal injury last week against the Green Bay Packers that has caused him to miss practice this past week. While the 23-year-old was optimistic that he could find a way to suit up, Detroit officially listed him as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.

St. Brown is one of the many Lions listed on this week's injury report, even though the team had a few extra days of rest after their Thursday night win in Week 4. Josh Reynolds (groin) and Jameson Williams (non-injury related) should both see the biggest boost in targets, but both are listed as questionable. There is no reliable fantasy option in the pass-catching department for Detroit this weekend outside of tight end Sam LaPorta.

Davante Adams Injury Update

Davante Adams suffered a shoulder injury during last week's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. It has cost the veteran two straight practices this week, leaving his status for Monday's matchup against his former team, the Green Bay Packers, up in the air.

We will not know the veteran's official status for Monday's game until later on Saturday, but he is a player who does not need to practice to play. Adams will do all that he can to suit up against his former team, but he will clearly be at less than 100%. If he plays, you start him but manage expectations for his Week 5 performance.

Tee Higgins Injury Update

Tee Higgins suffered a rib injury during last week's loss to the Tennessee Titans. While the injury cost the 24-year-old practice time on Wednesday and Thursday, he returned in a limited fashion on Friday. Cincinnati listed Higgins officially as questionable for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Rib injuries typically do not cost a player much time, if any at all, unless it is serious. However, Higgins' status is truly up in the air this weekend. We have seen the fourth-year receiver be active on game day with an injury and come right out after a few plays, so this is a situation you need to monitor until game time. Tyler Boyd would be the best pivot option in the same game.

Christian Watson Injury Update

Christian Watson made his regular season debut last week from a hamstring injury in a losing effort against the Detroit Lions. The second-year receiver's snaps were limited, as well as his practice time this past week. Watson has been limited, but we will find out if he has an official injury designation on Saturday afternoon.

This seems like maintenance on the Packers' part, but keep an eye on the final injury report on Saturday just to be safe. Watson is in a great spot to succeed in Week 5 against a Raiders defense that allows the 12th-most fantasy points to the wide receiver position through four weeks. Consider the 24-year-old a WR2 in Week 5 if active.

Jameson Williams Injury Update

Jameson Williams had his six-game suspension reduced to five this past week and practiced with the team for the first time Wednesday. While the second-year receiver had suffered a hamstring injury, he was a full go and is past that. However, the team has listed him as questionable for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.

Williams' tag is listed as "non-injury related," suggesting that he is working his way back into game shape, and the team wants more time to decide whether or not to activate him in Week 5. We should have more information over the weekend, but Detroit could use him after losing Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) and Josh Reynolds (groin) listed as questionable. He is a risky play but has plenty of potential to have a big fantasy performance if active.

Josh Reynolds Injury Update

Josh Reynolds has been battling a groin injury for the past few weeks. While it has cost the 28-year-old practice time, he has played through it each week and even participated in full in Friday's practice. The Lions have officially listed Reynolds as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

The team seems to be playing it safe, listing Reynolds as questionable, but he should be good to go for the game against Carolina. The veteran should see an increased target share with Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) listed as doubtful, making him a solid flex option or pivot for those in need this weekend.

Odell Beckham Jr. Injury Update

Odell Beckham Jr. has missed the past two games due to an ankle injury he suffered against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. The veteran returned to practice this week, but only on a limited basis. The Ravens officially listed him as questionable for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Rashod Bateman will be making his return this week and was left off the final injury report, so if Beckham Jr. can suit up, the Ravens will be at full strength in the receiver department. The 30-year-old would be a solid flex option against the Steelers' poor pass defense, but this decision could go down to the wire. Monitor Sunday reports before committing to OBJ.

Zay Jones Injury Update

Zay Jones suffered a knee injury in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs and has been out since. The 28-year-old has logged limited practice time this week and has a chance to suit up against his former team, the Buffalo Bills. Jacksonville listed Jones officially as questionable for Sunday's game in London.

Even if Jones is able to get back on the field this weekend, he is not a great fantasy option against a stout Buffalo pass defense. His return could take Christian Kirk off the field more often, but with Jones' snaps likely to be limited, it is not a major concern in Week 5.

Treylon Burks Injury Update

Treylon Burks missed last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a knee injury. The second-year receiver has not been able to practice the past two weeks, and the Titans officially ruled him out for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts on Friday.

There seems to be no timetable for Burks' eventual return at the moment, so fantasy managers can safely drop him to the waiver wire if they need a bye-week fill-in. DeAndre Hopkins will continue to be the top target for Tennessee, while Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and the returning Kyle Philips will be next in line. Hopkins is the only fantasy option to start this week.

John Metchie III Injury Update

John Metchie III missed some practice time this past week due to an illness. The 23-year-old should be able to suit up for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, but the Texans officially listed him as questionable on Friday.

Metchie has been playing minimal snaps in his first season active in the NFL and is the clear No. 4 receiver on the depth chart. He is a hold for those in dynasty leagues but completely off the radar in redraft leagues at the moment. Nico Collins and Tank Dell are the only reliable pass catchers in Houston for fantasy managers this weekend.
