San Jose Sharks winger Alexander Barabanov would like to stay in San Jose but does not want to think about his next contract. The 29-year-old began his NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2020-21 season but was moved to the Sharks where his career took off. Barabanov notched seven points in nine games with the Sharks that season before tallying 25 goals and 86 points across 138 games with the Sharks over the last two campaigns. While he will see top-six minutes again this season after averaging a hearty 18:03 of ice time per game last season, the pending free agent was a minus-30 with just 120 shots on goal last season and will be part of a paper-thin Sharks offense, leaving him well off of the fantasy radar.--Brenton Kemp
