Alex Bowman figured on being the fourth fastest Hendrick Motorsports Racing car on Saturday. Instead, he was the second. That's right. While Chase Elliott fought the wall and the wall won, Bowman quietly got around the track 1.18 seconds behind Denny Hamlin's pole time. It was a solid effort for the No. 48 Chevy. Bowman does have an average finish of 13.1 on road courses since 2020. That ranks fifth among all drivers during that span. Bowman likes tracks like COTA and Chicago does not quite have the same correlation. However, he looked comfortable in the technical aspects.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
