Dallas Stars forward Ty Dellandrea became an unlikely hero in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals on Saturday, scoring twice in the third period to help Dallas extend the series against Vegas with a 4-2 victory. He was on target with two shots in the middle of the frame, scoring inside 1:27 of action. Prior to Saturday night, Dellandrea had lit the lamp just once in these playoffs and the three goals are his only points in 14 outings. The 22-year-old is only the fourth player in NHL history to record the first multi-goal game of his career in a game in which his team was facing elimination in the Conference Final/Semifinal.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
