Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo has been suspended for Friday's Game 5 against Edmonton. He received a one-game suspension from the NHL's Department of Player Safety for a slashing incident that occurred late in Game 4, where Pietrangelo hit Leon Draisaitl on the arm with his stick after the Oilers star had missed a scoring opportunity into an empty net. Pietrangelo was handed a five-minute major and game misconduct in the contest. The suspension leaves the Golden Knights without their most productive blue-liner. Pietrangelo matched a career-high with 54 points during the regular season and has collected six points in nine playoff appearances. Ben Hutton is in line to re-enter the lineup Friday, while Shea Theodore should take over Pietrangelo's duties on the first power-play unit.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
