XFL Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 7: QB, RB, WR, TE Rankings and Analysis (2023)

Week 7 XFL fantasy football rankings at QB, RB, WR, TE for 2023. The top fantasy XFL players at each position (QB, RB, WR, TE) for XFL fantasy leagues and DFS lineups.

Six weeks of the 2023 XFL season are in the books, so with just four weeks remaining, time is running low to participate in fantasy and DFS contests. That said, it's time to navigate with urgency and evaluate potential breakouts, QB changes, target share discrepancies, and injuries that will affect our Week 7 XFL fantasy football rankings.

These positional XFL rankings are a team effort, combing the rankings and analysis of three rankers:

As always, just because you haven't hit the jackpot yet -- doesn't mean you won't over the last month of the season! Let's get it RotoBallers!

Quarterback XFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Jackson Sparks

Rank Player Name Team
1 Ben DiNucci Seattle Sea Dragons
2 AJ McCarron St. Louis Battlehawks
3 Jordan Ta'amu DC Defenders
4 Brandon Silvers/Cole McDonald Houston Roughnecks
5 Brett Hundley Vegas Vipers
6 Jawon Pass San Antonio Brahmas
7 Quinten Dormady Orlando Guardians
8 Drew Plitt/Luis Perez Arlington Rengades
9 D'Eriq King DC Defenders

Ben DiNucci continues to provide consistent fantasy production weekly. In Week 6, the Seattle trigger-man delivered 177 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and 43 rushing yards. He's a fixture for solid volume, so sharpie him in as our QB1 once again.

AJ McCarron has proven to be one of the XFL's top players in 2023 and he put on another clinic in Week 6 against the Vegas Vipers. In the win, McCarron threw for 236 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He's a safe pick with upside against the Roughnecks in Week 7.

Jordan Ta'amu had led his Defenders' squad to a 6-0 record, so his job is safe -- especially after delivering a 245-yard, two-touchdown performance in Week 6. While Ta'amu hasn't shown his rushing upside consistently, he has the mobility to add fantasy production in that area of the game. We have a 6-0 vs. 0-6 matchup this week, so his ceiling is sky-high.

Brandon Silvers was knocked around in Houston's loss to D.C. Meanwhile, Cole McDonald replaced him as QB and posted 231 total yards, one passing touchdown, and one rushing touchdown. It's unclear who will start against the Battlehawks in Week 7, but both have plenty of upside and are worth consideration in DFS lineups. This game has shootout potential.

Brett Hundley is now the locked-in QB1 in Vegas, as Luis Perez has been traded to the Arlington Renegades.

Jawon Pass is the new starter in San Antonio for now, as Jack Coan has been underwhelming in recent weeks. Pass has some rushing upside, but his passing game is limited.

Paxton Lynch was a healthy scratch last week, so it appears Quinten Dormady is the QB1 in Orlando for the time being.

Kyle Sloter has officially been released by the Renegades, meaning Drew Plitt and Luis Perez are now contenders for the Renegades' QB1 job.

Running Back XFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Andrew Lennox

Rank Player Name Team
1 Abram Smith DC Defenders
2 Brian Hill St. Louis Battlehawks
3 Jacques Patrick San Antonio Brahmas
4 DeVeon Smith Arlington Renegades
5 Devin Darrington Orlando Guardians
6 Max Borghi Houston Roughnecks
7 Jah-Maine Martin Orlando Guardians
8 Ryquell Armstead DC Defenders
9 Rod Smith Vegas Vipers
10  Kalen Ballage San Antonio Brahmas
11  John Lovett Vegas Vipers
12 Morgan Ellison Seattle Sea Dragons
13 Mataeo Durant St. Louis Battlehawks
14 Kareem Walker St. Louis Battlehawks
15 Darius Bradwell Seattle Sea Dragons

In the absence of Kalen Ballage in Week 6, Jacques Patrick emerged as the top running back for the Brahmas with an outstanding performance. He rushed for 82 yards on 15 carries and also contributed 18 receiving yards on three catches to help San Antonio secure a victory against Arlington. Patrick's display has earned him a crucial role in his team's offensive strategy for their upcoming Week 7 matchup against Houston.

After Week 6, Abram Smith remains the top-ranked running back after rushing for 95 yards on 19 carries. He also had a touchdown and two receptions for ten yards as DC remains unbeaten at 6-0. In week 7, Smith will remain productive as DC meets the 0-6 Orlando Guardians.

Max Borghi has slowed slightly these last few weeks rushing for 25 yards on 11 carries in Week 6. However, he still manages to contribute somehow weekly, as he had two rushing touchdowns against DC. Borghi will be going up against a solid Brahmas rush defense, as they gave up just 79 rushing yards on 25 attempts to Arlington just one week ago.

Arlington played San Antonio for the second consecutive week but was unable to knock off the Brahmas losing 15-9. Despite putting only nine points up on the board, Renegades running back DeVeon Smith had a decent day on the ground rushing for 42 yards on ten attempts. He had more success in Arlington's passing attack as he caught ten passes for 42 yards.

In Week 6, Brian Hill maintained his reliable form, rushing for 62 yards on 16 carries while continuing an impressive average of 5.1 yards per rush. Although St. Louis faces a challenging opponent in their upcoming game against the Houston Roughnecks, it's worth noting that the Roughnecks' defense allowed the DC Defenders to amass a total of 356 offensive yards last week.

In Week 6, Devin Darrington took charge for Orlando and made a significant impact, gaining an impressive 82 rushing yards on just seven carries and scoring two rushing touchdowns against Seattle. This impressive performance raises questions about Orlando's offensive strategy moving forward, as Jah-Maine Martin had previously been the team's primary running back before Darrington's breakout game.

Wide Receiver XFL Fantasy Football Rankings

Rankings and analysis by Brant Henson

Rank Player Name Team
1 Lucky Jackson D.C. Defenders
2 Hakeem Butler St. Louis Battlehawks

7 Darrius Shepherd St. Louis Battlehawks
8 Travell Harris Houston Roughnecks
9 Charleston Rambo Orlando Guardians
10 Josh Hammond D.C. Defenders
11 Austin Proehl St. Louis Battlehawks
12 Jeff Badet Vegas Vipers
13 T.J. Vasher San Antonio Brahmas
14 Cedric Byrd Houston Roughnecks
15 Chris Blair D.C. Defenders
16 Josh Gordon Seattle Sea Dragons
17 Brandon Arconado Arlington Renegades
18 Juwan Green Seattle Sea Dragons
19 Jordan Veasy Seattle Sea Dragons
20 Damion Willis Seattle Sea Dragons
21 Eli Rogers Orlando Guardians
22 Andrew Jamiel Orlando Guardians
23 Fred Brown San Antonio Brahmas
24 Tyler Vaughns Arlington Renegades
25 Jalen Tolliver San Antonio Brahmas
26 Martavis Bryant Vegas Vipers
27 Caleb Vander Esch Arlington Renegades
28 Landen Akers San Antonio Brahmas
29 Cinque Sweeting Vegas Vipers
30 Marcell Ateman St. Louis Battlehawks
31 Daniel Williams Orlando Guardians
32 Justin Smith Houston Roughnecks
33 George Campbell St. Louis Battlehawks
34 Ben Putman Houston Roughnecks
35 Jazz Ferguson D.C. Defenders
36 Jequez Ezzard D.C. Defenders
37 JaVonta Payton Arlington Renegades
38 Deddrick Thomas Orlando Guardians
39 Lujuan Winningham Arlington Renegades
40 Geronimo Allison Vegas Vipers

I’m becoming repetitive in this section but as usual, always target the team that plays the Orlando Guardians. This week the D.C. Defenders, a more run-heavy squad, get to take on Orlando. Quarterback Jordan Ta’amu has been airing it out more recently, and receiver Lucky Jackson is coming off a 5-136-1 performance against Houston. Jackson has emerged as the go-to guy for D.C. in recent weeks and that should remain true, but receivers Josh Hammond and Chris Blair could also have career days this week.

The Arlington passing game could be in for a revamp with Drew Plitt out and former Vegas Viper Luis Perez in. Try to avoid this pass-catching group as a whole this week in an offense that has been struggling to find its way through the air, but monitor target shares as Perez finds his favorite options.

St. Louis-Houston is the matchup of the week as two high-powered offenses go head-to-head for the first time this season. Hakeem Butler and Darrius Shepherd have created an effective one-two punch for the Battlehawks, while Deontay Burnett, Travell Harris, and Cedric Byrd have filled in nicely for the injured Jontre Kirklin in Houston. Expect lots of scoring in this thrilling matchup.

Marcell Ateman was activated and should return to the field this week, but is likely behind Austin Proehl in the pecking order.

San Antonio receiver Jalen Tolliver opened the season as their go-to guy but was cut from the team before being resigned last week. With Travis Toivonen and Travis Jonsen both hurt, he will have an opportunity to earn playing time back. The Brahmas-Vipers game is likely the lowest-scoring game of the week and should be avoided where possible, but the big-bodied T.J. Vasher could draw a hefty target share with the San Antonio corps depleted.

Tight End XFL Fantasy Football Rankings

All season, the tight end position has been a wasteland, but across four games, there were only 14 tight end targets and seven tight end receptions. Needless to say, it's becoming even more difficult to navigate the position.

Rankings and analysis by Jackson Sparks

Rank Player Name Team
1 Sal Canella Arlington Renegades
2 Alize Mack San Antonio Brahmas
3 Ethan Wolf DC Defenders
4 Logan Carter Orlando Guardians
5 Deon Yelder San Antonio Brahmas
6 Nate Becker Arlington Renegades
7 Jake Sutherland St. Louis Battlehawks
8 Alex Ellis DC Defenders
9 Brandon Dillon Vegas Vipers
10 Garrett Owens Houston Roughnecks
11 Ryan Becker Orlando Guardians
12 Travis Koontz Vegas Vipers

Through six weeks, Sal Canella continues to lead all tight ends in targets (41), receptions (28), and receiving yards (218). Unfortunately, his high usage hasn't translated to nuclear fantasy performances, but he's still far and away the locked-in TE1. Luis Perez might provide Canella with a QB upgrade after he was traded from Vegas. Kyle Sloter has been released.

Alize Mack caught 14 of his 20 targets for 118 yards and one receiving touchdown through five weeks. In Week 6, he saw his first game without a target. That said, he's still the TE2 given the scarcity of production at the position. The Braham's QB situation is in shambles, though, so he could be passed by Ethan Wolf next week if he lays another egg.

Logan Carter has seen six targets over the last two weeks, meaning he's at least a legitimate threat to score fantasy points. If Quinten Dormady continues to play better than Paxton Lynch at QB, perhaps Carter will see more targets, and even more importantly, accurate targets.

From Deon Yelder down, no tight end has any kind of fantasy floor. However, they've all seen targets at some point this season, which is all we can hope for at this tricky spot.
