Austin Dillon and his Richard Childress Racing car could not keep up in qualifying on Saturday. He ended up 28th almost 1.8 seconds behind William Byron. Dillon had been consistent at the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix with results of tenth and 12th. However, starting this low could make things more challenging. Even last year, the No. 3 Chevy began 21st.
