Buffalo Sabres forward Tage Thompson exited Wednesday's matchup against Carolina with an upper-body injury. He lasted for two periods and a little over 11 minutes in the contest, going scoreless and finishing with a minus-one rating. Thompson, who is Buffalo's top scorer with 68 points in 50 games, was already carrying an upper-body injury ahead of the clash and didn't take any faceoffs Wednesday. It's currently unclear if his exit was related to the injury. With no games scheduled until Feb. 10, the Sabres will have over a week to get him fixed, but Thompson was also selected to the All-Star Game and might now miss out on the occasion with injury.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
