Colorado Avalanche forward Alex Newhook lit the lamp twice in Monday's 5-3 loss against the Flyers. He grabbed a power-play goal early in the game and also netted in an even-strength situation in the third period. The goals came from Newhook's only two shots on the goal, while he logged a season-high 23:04 of ice time. Injuries have forced him to step into a big role, and it looks like there's even more responsibility coming Newhook's way, as Nathan MacKinnon sustained an upper-body injury Monday. The 21-year-old, who has six goals and three assists in total for the season, could find himself centering the first line in Wednesday's matchup against Boston.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
