Nashville Predators defenseman Ryan McDonagh has picked up an upper-body injury and is expected to miss two to four weeks. The veteran blue-liner was gearing up for his return to Tampa this week, but he will now instead have to miss at least six games. McDonagh has skated in 23 games with the Predators since arriving via a trade from Tampa in the summer, logging six points with 20 shots, 19 hits, 49 blocks and a plus-five rating. He has worked well with Roman Josi on the top defensive pairing lately, but head coach John Hynes will now be forced into some shuffling. Jordan Gross has been summoned from the minors, and he will hope to nail down a spot in the lineup after impressing with 11 points in 13 AHL appearances this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
