Is Antonio Gibson Healthy Or Injured? Should I Start Brian Robinson?
Washington Commanders running back Antonio Gibson has played well this season. He is the RB18 for the year, averaging 10.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Furthermore, the former Memphis star has become the team’s pass-catching back with J.D. McKissic out for the year with a neck injury. The third-year player has averaged 3.3 receptions per game this season, seeing three or more receptions in all but one of the past nine contests.
Unfortunately, Gibson showed up on the injury report this week.

Is Antonio Gibson Healthy Or Injured?
On Wednesday, Gibson was a limited participant in practice because of a foot injury. However, the veteran running back did not practice on Thursday because of the injury.
Yet, offensive coordinator Scott Turner expressed optimism that Gibson will play Sunday against the New York Giants.
Hopefully, the star running back can play this week. Over the past six weeks, Gibson has averaged 15 touches for 69.3 scrimmage yards and 11.7 half-point PPR fantasy points. Furthermore, the former Memphis star running back scored 11.8 or more fantasy points in 67% of those contests. However, Brian Robinson will get the start this week if Gibson can’t play.
Should I Start Brian Robinson?
While he has split time with Gibson in the backfield, Robinson has been one of the better rookie running backs this season.
Last week the rookie had the best game of his career. Robinson had 105 rushing yards and 19.5 half-point PPR fantasy points in the win over the Atlanta Falcons. Furthermore, he had 15 rushing attempts for the third straight game and the fifth time this season.
More importantly, Robinson got involved in the passing game last week. Over the first seven games of his career, the rookie running back had only four receptions for seven receiving yards. However, Robinson had two receptions for 20 receiving yards and his first career receiving touchdown last week against Atlanta.
Meanwhile, the rookie’s matchup is appealing this week. The Giants have struggled to slow down running backs this season. They have surrendered 90 or more rushing yards to the position in all but one game. Furthermore, New York has given up 302 rushing yards, five rushing touchdowns, and 66.4 fantasy points to running backs over the past two weeks.
If Gibson plays, fantasy players can star both Washington running backs as a low-end RB2 or a high-end flex option. However, Robinson is a borderline top-12 running back if Gibson is out this week.
