Russell Wilson Injury Update

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (hamstring) could return in Week 8 against the Jacksonville Jaguars after head coach Nathaniel Hackett said he's still day-to-day, but trending in the right direction. Despite Wilson's sluggish start, he'll be an interesting fantasy option if he can return against the Jaguars in London.

The Jaguars have been a top-10 defense against fantasy quarterbacks and were just shredded by Daniel Jones. There are still plenty of options to play over Wilson, but he will at least be on the fantasy radar.

Ryan Tannehill Injury Update

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that quarterback Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is "good" after he suffered a right ankle injury in the Week 7 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Titans will evaluate Tannehill more during the week, and we'll monitor his practice status closely. The 34-year-old left the game shortly before returning with his ankle heavily taped, and he's hoping to play in Week 8 against the Houston Texans.

He was also wearing a walking boot after the game on Sunday, so there's a realistic chance that rookie Malik Willis will make his first NFL start this weekend. In Tennessee's run-first offense, Tannehill has been a low-upside QB2 for fantasy managers to this point in the season.

Matt Ryan Injury Update

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Ryan (shoulder) will not play next week against the Washington Commanders, and Frank Reich said Sam Ehlinger would have started this week regardless of the injury. Ehlinger is expected to be the Colts' starter for the rest of the 2022 season after a disappointing start to the season by Matt Ryan.

Ryan has thrown nine interceptions through seven weeks and has fumbled three times. The Colts sit at 3-3-1 and have already lost two games to the Tennessee Titans. We may have seen the last of Ryan in his NFL playing career.

Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold Injury Update

Neither Carolina Panthers quarterbacks Baker Mayfield (ankle) nor Sam Darnold (ankle) played in Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but both have a chance to return next week at the Atlanta Falcons as long as there are no setbacks at practice, according to sources. Darnold remains on Injured Reserve, but he could be activated late next week if the team feels he's ready.

Mayfield has underwhelmed in his first five games with the team, completing a career-low 59.9 percent of his 153 pass attempts for 962 yards, four touchdowns and four picks. For now, P.J. Walker remains the starting quarterback for Carolina, but this could be a fluid situation
