Jose Urquidy Probably Won't Start Again This Season
Jose Urquidy is unlikely to make another start this regular season. Instead, the Astros plan to use the righty out of the bullpen, in what is likely a tune up for the playoffs. The Astros have so many high-quality starting options that even though Urquidy has had a solid season, posting a 13-8 record, 3.88 ERA, 1.1.6 WHIP, and 133 K over 162 ⅓ IP, he won't see any starts in the playoffs barring injury. It's tough news for managers who were hoping to squeeze a final start out of him, but the silver lining is he can now be dropped for a streamer in daily lineup leagues.
