Week 4 NFL DFS Cheat Sheet: Expert Picks and Lineups (Premium Content)

All other Premium Tools can be accessed on the premium dashboard.

Welcome to Week 4 of the NFL Season! Each week, I'll be bringing you our famous NFL DFS Cheat Sheet with expert research and picks for cash games and GPPs. Here are a few notes about the sheet.

  • I will now be using data exclusively from 2022!
  • The "fantasy points allowed rank" reflects how a player's opponent ranked in fantasy points allowed to their specific position. The lower the number, the better the matchup.
  • DVOA is a stat created by Football Outsiders that stands for Defense-adjusted Value Over Average and takes into account the quality of the previous offensive opponents. This rating is being shown for both the offensive player's team and their opponent.
  • A play labeled "cash" is a higher-owned play that is recommended for cash games. A "strong" play is playable in all formats. "Slate-breakers" are some of my favorite GPP targets for upside or reduced ownership.
  • Vegas and risk columns will all be updated during the week to reflect injury info, weather info, and the most recent Vegas info.

NFL CHEAT SHEET WEEK 4

Cash Game Cores

DraftKings: Herbert-Williams-Diggs

FanDuel: Barkley-Williams-Diggs

Same three-man core for both sites this week and if I had to add a fourth to each I would go Diontae Johnson at 6k on DK and CeeDee Lamb at 6.8k on FD. Lamb is cheaper than Johnson on FD, which is why I lean there since he projects slightly better.

SATURDAY UPDATE: With the news of David Montgomery being out, I am moving Khalil Herbert into the DK cash core and giving us some flexibility at his low price there 5.7k vs. Barkley at 8k. On FanDuel, I think Barkley is the safer play and Herbert is 7200 there, only 900 cheaper than Barkley.

Deeper GPP Flyers

This is where I want to give you some other players who will be in my player pool, who didn't make the cut for the cheat sheet. The main recommended plays are always going to be geared more towards cash games and single-entry tournaments, but here are some lower-owned options for large-field tournaments.

QB: Mitch Trubisky, Daniel Jones

They are dumpster dives at super cheap salaries, but both of these guys can run a little bit and have decent match-ups. I think paying down at QB is rather contrarian this week.

RB: Jonathan Taylor, Austin Ekeler, Rashaad Penny

Taylor's volume alone gives him tournament upside every week. Ekeler could be leaned on a ton if Herbert is still nursing those sore ribs. And Penny was productive when he touched the ball last week, he's still just not getting there with fantasy points due to a lack of receptions and touchdowns. This is a good spot for him, though, and he's cheap.

WR: Amari Cooper, Curtis Samuel, Zay Jones, Mack Hollins, Romeo Doubs

Cooper has been great two weeks in a row and the Browns are a team we can't ignore against Atlanta. Samuel keeps getting targets, even though they are mainly short routes and dump-offs, those add up in PPR formats like DK. Jones has been a target hog lately and I think we expect the Jags to have to throw a lot this week. Hollins went nuts last week and everyone will jump off him this week if Renfrow is back, but I think he's still playable this cheap.

Note: Amon-Ra St. Brown is out, so Josh Reynolds is a late add to sheet. I had to bump Doubs to the GPP pool. Zay Jones is also questionable, so keep an eye on his status.

TE: Gerald Everett, Robert Tonyan, Pat Freiermuth

Everett is a stud and perhaps we see him emerge this week in a good spot against Houston. A banged-up QB is the only reason to hesitate there. Tonyan finally had a big week last time out against Tampa and perhaps Rodgers is ready to hone in on him now since he doesn't have many options at receiver. IT'S CHEAP TE WEEK, DON'T PAY UP!

Note: I added TJ Hockenson to the sheet, so I had to bump Freiermuth to the GPP pool.

DEF: NYG, CHI, HOU, DEN, TEN, ARI

Week 4 DFS Slate Notes

***Saturday Updates***

The big changes I mentioned above were the inclusion of Khalil Herbert in the DK cash core with the news that Monty is out as well as the major bumps that both T.J Hockeson and Josh Reynolds should get with Amon-Ra St. Brown out for Detroit. D.J. Chark is worth a flyer in GPPs, but I really think that Reynolds and Hock are the two biggest beneficiaries here from ARSB's absence.

Other injuries to monitor include Christian McCaffrey, who I think plays but if he were to miss that game we'd instantly have to consider D'Onta Foreman everywhere as a punt play. Hollywood Brown is also questionable in that same game and Rondale Moore's status is still up in the air. With A.J. Green already ruled out, we should see another week where we can deploy Greg Dortch UNLESS both Hollywood and Moore play, then at that point, I might avoid him.

Cordarrelle Patterson and Gabe Davis both still carry Q tags but seem likely to play in their games.

Jakobi Meyers missed last week but looks like he's trending towards playing on Sunday. That doesn't move the needle much for me, but he is the one NE receiver you could probably take a shot on of all of them in a poor match-up.

Kadarius Toney and Wandale Robinson will remain out this week for New York, as well as Sterling Shepard this week - making Richie James Jr. a really solid value for cash games.

The other punt play at WR we can feel pretty decent about is Mack Hollins, who should continue to see more targets with Hunter Renfrow on the shelf again.

FAVE GAME STACKS:

PHI-JAX: Hurts-Brown-Kirk

ATL-CLE: Brissett/Mariota-Cooper/London-Njoku/Pitts

DET-SEA: Goff/Smith-Reynolds/Lockett-Hockenson

BUF-BAL: Allen-Diggs/Bateman-Knox
