Tim Anderson Will Undergo Surgery
Tim Anderson (hand) has been placed on the 10-day injured list. The organization announced that Anderson will undergo surgery to repair the torn ligament in his left hand. The expectation is that Anderson is going to be sidelined for the next six weeks. A tough blow to the White Sox with Anderson hitting over .300 on the season with six homers and 12 stolen bases. Leury Garcia started at shortstop during their first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday. Possibly, he continues seeing more starts while Anderson is sidelined. However, it's unlikely any replacement is going to have the kind of value that Anderson offers the team.
