The Cleveland Guardians signed first-round pick outfielder Chase DeLauter on Saturday. He was the 16th overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft. The 20-year-old smashed 15 home runs in 66 games across three years at James Madison. At 6-foot-4, 235 pounds, he was considered one of the best bats in the draft and runs well for his size. During his junior year in college, he hit .437 with eight home runs and 35 RBI in 24 games before breaking his left foot.
