The Arizona Diamondbacks selected outfielder Druw Jones with the second overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft. The son of longtime Atlanta Brave Andrew Jones, he is known for his defensive prowess and speed just like his father. During his senior year at Wesleyan School in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, he stole 32 bases to go along with 13 homers, 72 runs and a .570 batting average. He was widely considered the favorite to go first overall to the Baltimore Orioles, but the Orioles wound up drafting shortstop Jackson Holliday ahead of him. Jones is committed to Vanderbilt University for college, but in all likelihood he'll be entering the D-backs' minor league system instead of attending college.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerRead More News
