WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks, Betting Picks (6/29/22): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel, Best Bets

WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks and betting picks for 6/29/22. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel and today's best bets.

We've got a weird slate for y'all today, with a one-game afternoon slate and then a two-game night slate. Instead of giving you actual picks, I'm going to preview each slate from a macro level.

I'll be providing daily fantasy lineup picks for the WNBA this season here at RotoBaller. In addition, I'll be sprinkling in some basic betting picks. Not going to get complicated since there's limited space in this piece, but I'll throw you a bet or two each day that I like and, because I think this is important, that I'll be making myself.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/29/22. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates locks on 6/29/2022 at 12:00 p.m. ET and 10:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

Sun @ Sky Showdown Slate

I only play one-game slates on DraftKings, not on FanDuel, so this section will be biased toward that site. Sorry!

In terms of a captain to get you the 1.5x points on this slate, I think with how she's been playing, Candace Parker is a great play, as she's had 30-plus fantasy points in three consecutive games, with a triple-double in one of those. She had 18 points, three rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal in her last meeting with Connecticut.

If you want value at captain, you could take a shot on DeWanna Bonner, who is ninth in price on DraftKings. She had 18 points on 8-for-15 shooting in her last game against the Sky and occasionally has some big nights, like when she had 46 DraftKings points on June 17 against Seattle.

Beyond that, you obviously want to sprinkle in some of the stars here. Courtney Vandersloot. Jonquel Jones. Alyssa Thomas. Emma Meesseman. You can captain Bonner, play Parker plus Vandersloot, Jones and Messeeman and would still have room for an interesting value play, Julie Allemand. Allemand has played 20-plus minutes in each of the last two games and had 11 points, two rebounds and four assists against the Lynx. Her role is growing in Chicago and she's $3,600 on DraftKings. Perfect punt play.

The Night Slate

Alright, onto the night slate, where I will address FanDuel and not just DraftKings.

Let's start with who I see as the best value on each site.

DraftKings: Sophie Cunningham ($5,600) is now starting for the Mercury due to necessity after Tina Charles left the team. Cunningham has played heavy minutes in the last two games, including 32 minutes last time out against the same Indiana team she plays tonight. She had 16 points, three rebounds and three assists in that game.

FanDuel: Okay. Cunningham should be here too, but if I have to pick someone else, Emily Engstler ($4,600) is an option. She didn't score last game against the Mercury, but she did pull down six rebounds and block a shot. If she can just hit a few shots in her limited minutes, there's some potential upside here. Not nearly as much upside as Cunningham though, who should be your top value choice on each site.

Alright, now that that's out of the way, here are some other plays I like:

Skylar Diggins-Smith is the top play on this slate. She faces a Fever defense that allows more points per game than any team in the league. SDS was 6-for-17 from the floor for 17 points in her last game against the Fever. But also, any Mercury rotation player has value here. Diana Taurasi just tore this defense up for 27 points and while her consistency has been an issue this year, this is a good time to target her. Brianna Turner is probably going to score two points, but she'll grab eight rebounds and fill up the rest of the stat sheet.

For Indiana, NaLyssa Smith just had a 15/10 double-double against this team. Kelsey Mitchell just scored 22 against the Mercury and should have some All-Star Snub Revenge Game going on on Wednesday. Other than those two and maybe Engstler as I mentioned above, I'm not going to be super into the Fever on this slate.

For Seattle, I'm avoiding Tina Charles and Ezi Magbegor because I have no clue how their minutes will shake out. Breanna Stewart is obviously a lineup anchor and scored 40-plus fantasy points the last time she faced Vegas. Gabby Williams has had strong fantasy showings in two of her last three games, but it's unclear what her minutes will look like with the Charles addition, so there's some risk there.

And then there's Vegas. A'ja Wilson has scored 40 or more fantasy points in five of the last six games. She was dominant in the first meeting with Seattle, with 20 points and 15 boards. Kelsey Plum has been on fire lately, scoring at least 20 points with multiple three-pointers in five consecutive games. Jackie Young doesn't have the ceiling of Plum but is always a strong play. She scored 19 against Seattle earlier this season. There might be some value with Riquna Williams if she plays and if Chelsea Gray, who missed last game for personal reasons, is out again. If Gray plays, Williams won't be playable.

WNBA Betting Picks for 6/29/2022

Looking to make some WNBA bets? Let's look at some options for you.

Yesterday's Results: 1-1

Chicago Sky Spread (-3)

The Sky have won three in a row and have moved past Connecticut in the standings. Chicago won 83-79 when these teams last met, and Chicago has added Julie Allemand to the fold since then. With a spread this small, I'm taking the team that's been playing better basketball recently.

Fever/Mercury U 166.5

These teams combined for 154 points on Monday. The Mercury are just such a shallow team right now with Tina Charles gone, which limits the scoring upside. And the Fever are a team that's always at risk of just going completely cold from the field. For those reasons, I'm taking the under here.
