Lance McCullers Jr. Throws From 60 Feet Tuesday
Lance McCullers Jr. (forearm) threw 25 times on flat ground from 60 feet Tuesday and is scheduled to pitch Friday again. The 28-year-old suffered a flexor tendon injury in his right arm in the postseason last year. He didn't need surgery and was placed on the 10-day injured list to begin the season. The Astros right-hander continues to make a recovery from his injury and will need to build up strength before facing live hitters. McCullers owned a career-low 3.16 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 185 strikeouts, and a league-high 76 walks in 162 1/3 innings over 28 starts in 2021. Fantasy managers should continue to stash the right-hander in all league formats.
