Charles Johnson (WR, MIN) - 2015 Fantasy Football Sleeper

BALLER MOVE: Target in Middle Rounds as WR3

CURRENT ADP: 109 STD, 79 PPR

ANALYSIS: In September of 2014, the Minnesota Vikings grabbed Charles Johnson off Cleveland’s practice squad. He played 12 games for the Vikings, starting in six, tallying 475 yards and two touchdowns. While that stat line is not overwhelming, it was solid production from a player who only started six games, was in his third offense in two years and was catching passes from a rookie quarterback.

What stands out about Johnson is his massive 15.3 yards per reception (YPR), which was the 16th highest by receivers last year, ahead of Calvin Johnson and A.J. Green. His impressive YPR could be indicative of a larger role in the Vikings offense in 2015.

While Johnson showed last season that he has a good work ethic and can be a decent route-runner, he needs to improve his ball security.

Johnson should begin the year as the number two wide receiver behind Mike Wallace, and the continued maturation of Teddy Bridgewater should aid Johnson's production. If the second-year wideout takes a step forward and remains the number two receiver, 50 receptions, 800 yards and six touchdowns should be his floor, and a 1,000-yard ceiling isn’t out of the question.
