2013 Fantasy Football: Week 9 Thursday Night Matchup & Sit/Start Advice

Happy Halloween everyone! This Halloween, we get the treat of all treats in a Thursday night NFL game. The Cincinnati Bengals, fresh off of a dominating performance against the Jets, travel to south Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins. It's time to start making that fantasy playoff push, and we here at RotoBaller.com have your back as we analyze the matchups each week and help you with those tough sit/start decisions.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Miami Dolphins, Thursday 10/31, 8:30PM

Editor's Note: The FFPC Playoff Challenge #2 is back with a massive $100,000 grand prize and $203,250 total prize pool, paying down to 100th place. Here's the deal: no salary cap, no draft, no pickups, no subs. Choose 8 players, and as NFL teams get knocked out so will your players, so choose your team wisely. The entries will sell out quickly, and registrations will close on Saturday January 17th at 4:30 pm ET . Don't wait - get your team now and end your fantasy football season with a shot at $100,000! Giovani Bernard 2013 01Matchup We Love: Giovani Bernard and BenJarvus Green-Ellis, RBs

It's difficult to choose which RB on the Bengals I like more. I guess I would say Bernard, but despite the rookie's impressive play, the veteran Green-Ellis just won't go a way. I see this being a full timeshare going forward this year, and while I'm sure it will give fantasy owners headaches, I also think there will be plenty of times when both guys will be worth starting. This is one of those weeks, as the Miami Dolphins have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing rushers at home this year. I think both guys will have solid games on Halloween night.

Analysis: Both Bengals' running backs are worth starting this week.

Matchup We Hate: Lamar Miller, RB

I'll admit, I wasn't a huge fan of Lamar Miller going into this year, and while he's had his moments this year, I'm willing to call him a disappointment. Miller is coming off his best game of the season against the Patriots, and maybe it's a sign of things to come, but I'm not taking that chance. I don't trust Miller as far as I can throw him, and I think a matchup against a Cincy defense that has been tough against the run in recent weeks is one I want to avoid.

Analysis: Sit Lamar Miller this week and look for a more favorable matchup.

Key Injuries: Andrew Hawkins WR, CIN (probable), Brent Grimes CB, MIA (probable), Dion Sims TE, MIA (doubtful)

Start 'Em: Andy Dalton, AJ Green, Giovanni Bernard, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Marvin Jones, Bengals DEF, Ryan Tannehill, Brian Hartline, Mike Wallace, Dolphins DEF

Good luck to you all on Thursday night, and once again, Happy Halloween!  Be sure to check back here in the coming days for more weekend matchup analysis and advice, and don't forget to check out the RotoBaller.com Fantasy Football chat room for any questions we didn't cover. Good luck.
