Rashee Rice following a major accident on Saturday in Dallas, Texas. A car involved in the accident was believed to be registered to or leased to Rice, and the occupants of two cars ran from the scene. On Monday, Rice's attorney Royce West released a statement saying "Rashee is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly." As of now, there is still uncertainty about what happened and what Rice's involvement was in the situation, so it's too early to know if the 23-year-old will face discipline from the law and the NFL. This will be an ongoing development to monitor.

4 weeks agoThe Philadelphia Eagles have signed safety Reed Blankenship to a one-year contract extension, according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo. The new deal pays him a fully guaranteed $3.94 million over the next two years and has an additional $1.38 million available in playing time and Pro Bowl incentives. Blankenship was undrafted out of Middle Tennessee State University in 2022, and he has exceeded expectations in Philadelphia. In career 25 games (19 starts), the 25-year-old has racked up 147 tackles (99 solo), four interceptions, and 13 passes defended. After the release of former All-Pro safety Kevin Byard, Blankenship is slated to start alongside C.J. Gardner-Johnson for the Eagles in 2024.

Jeff Driskel is signing with the Washington Commanders, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. This will be the eighth team the 30-year-old will have been with during his career, and he's likely going to be utilized as a training camp arm more than anything else. Originally picked in the sixth round by the San Francisco 49ers out of Louisiana Tech in 2016, Driskel has completed 58.6% of his passes for 2,394 yards 16 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 23 career games. He's added 417 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. With Washington almost certainly going to select a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick in this month's draft and
Marcus Mariota on the roster, it's tough to see Driskel sticking around with the organization into the 2024 regular season.

4 weeks agoThe Denver Broncos signed free-agent offensive guard Calvin Throckmorton to an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday, according to the team. Throckmorton played in 15 games (seven starts) with the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers in 2023 before being released by the Panthers last November. The 27-year-old from Oregon entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2021 with the New Orleans Saints. He spent the first two years of his NFL career in New Orleans before playing with the Titans and Panthers last year. Throckmorton will give the Broncos some offensive-line depth in 2024 at the guard position. In his three years in the NFL, Throckmorton has started 27 of the 46 contests that he's appeared in.

4 weeks agoFree-agent cornerback Cameron Sutton, who has been wanted for weeks by police in Florida for his alleged involvement in a domestic-violence case, turned himself in on Sunday. Police had been unable to locate Sutton since March 7, when an arrest warrant was issued for him. His initial arrest warrant charged him with a felony, but prosecutors said on Monday that he was being formally charged with misdemeanor battery, which carries a maximum one-year jail sentence. Sutton was released from jail on Monday on his own recognizance. The 29-year-old signed a three-year, $33 million deal with the Detroit Lions last year but was released by the team on March 21, the day after the team found out about the warrant for his arrest.

1 month agoFree-agent cornerback K'Waun Williams (ankle), who missed all of last year with the Denver Broncos after having ankle surgery, was fully cleared medically earlier this month, according to sources. The Broncos aren't going to bring Williams back, but five other teams have expressed interest in him and he'll most likely decide on his next team after the upcoming NFL draft. The 32-year-old played in 14 games (eight starts) for Denver in 2022 and had 44 tackles (30 solo), one sack, an interception and seven passes defended before missing all of 2023. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh in 2014 with the Cleveland Browns, and Williams has eight years of NFL experience. Now that he's healthy, Williams should be able to latch on with another team and provide strong cornerback depth.

Tyler Johnson on Saturday. Johnson was with the team's practice squad all year but was active in Week 18 and caught two of his three targets for eight yards and a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers. The former fifth-round pick (161st overall) in 2020 out of Minnesota by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has 50 career catches on 75 targets for 537 yards and three touchdowns in 34 games (six starts) in his four seasons in the NFL with the Rams, Buccaneers and Houston Texans. Rashee Rice in their investigation of a major accident on Saturday in Dallas, according to the Dallas Morning News. The Dallas Morning News reported that a vehicle believed to be registered to or leased to Rice was involved in a crash in northeast Dallas at around 6:20 pm local time on Saturday. A police spokeswoman said a driver in a Chevrolet Corvette and a driver in a Lamborghini were speeding and both lost control of their vehicles, with the Lamborghini hitting the median wall and causing "a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles." The occupants of the Lamborghini and Corvette ran from the crash site. It's unclear if Rice is facing charges, and his level of involvement in the accident is also unclear, but we'll continue to monitor the developing situation.

Tony Pollard leave via free-agency, making Elliott a good fit to return to the team. Elliott ran for 642 yards and three touchdowns for the Pats last season while splitting the backfield with
Rhamondre Stevenson. Depending on whether Dallas addresses the RB position in the NFL draft, Elliott would immediately have high-end RB3/flex value if he lands with his former team.

Jimmy Graham wrote on his Instagram account that he's "unsure of what the future holds" after "things ended rather quickly after the season." The 37-year-old returned to the New Orleans Saints last year and played in the NFL after sitting out in 2022 and found the end zone four times on his six catches on the season. Graham only racked up 39 receiving yards in 13 games (two starts). The five-time Pro Bowler was one of the best at his position in his prime with the Saints and Seattle Seahawks earlier in his career, but the 13-year veteran is nearing the end and could officially hang up his cleats this offseason if he doesn't get picked up by another team. If this is the end for Graham, he'd finish his successful NFL career with 719 career catches (1,115 targets) for 8,545 receiving yards and 89 touchdowns in 197 career regular-season games.

Amari Cooper. "We love him," said general manager Andrew Berry while addressing the topic at league meetings. "So players like that, you want to make sure that you can retain as long as possible, and we'll work through all of that at the appropriate times." Cabot believes both sides won't enter talks until after the NFL draft. But Cleveland could look to make something happen soon, considering the cost for wideouts is expected to increase. Cooper, entering the final year of his current deal, amassed a career-high 1,250 receiving yards with 72 catches and five touchdowns. He also averaged 17.4 yards per catch. The Browns added
Jerry Jeudy in a trade from Denver. However, Cooper should still remain involved at a high level, especially if
Deshaun Watson (shoulder) can return to form.

Tee Higgins on the roster. The wideout was franchise-tagged a few months ago but requested a trade. Although it was reported that the team would entertain phone calls, Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn, speaking at league meetings, indicated that Higgins' contract is a "focus." The 25-year-old is coming off a down season, finishing the 2023-24 campaign with 656 yards and five touchdowns off 42 catches. But most concerning, he dealt with various ailments, limiting him to just 12 games. At any rate, Higgins has a chance to bounce back if he remains in Cincinnati, which appears the most likely scenario, considering there reportedly hasn't been much interest from other clubs. However, for the 2020 No. 33 overall pick to turn things around,
Joe Burrow (wrist) must stay healthy. Higgins will need to figure out how to do the same.

1 month agoThe Philadelphia Eagles are trading Pro Bowl edge rusher Haason Reddick to the New York Jets for a conditional 2026 third-round pick that could turn into a second-rounder. Reddick was rumored to be on the trade block this offseason, and the Jets jumped on him after losing Bryce Huff and failing to sign Jadeveon Clowney. Reddick has posted at least 11 sacks in each of the last four seasons, despite being on three different teams (Cardinals, Panthers, Eagles). The 2022 All-Pro selection has racked up 50.5 total sacks since 2020, and he is set to join a defensive front that is already dominant. New York is clearly going all in this year as

Raheem Mostert is signing a one-year contract extension, according to his agent Brett Tessler. 2024 was originally the last year of his deal, but the new contract extends his deal into the 2025 campaign. Mostert, who turns 32 years old in April, has enjoyed his best seasons as a pro over the last two seasons in South Beach. Since joining the team in 2022, Mostert has rushed 390 times for 1,903 yards and 21 touchdowns. He was named to his first Pro Bowl after scoring 21 total touchdowns in 2023. Although
De'Von Achane is younger and could be the lead back for Mike McDaniel in 2024, the team clearly still values Mostert, so he will remain on the fantasy radar moving forward.
