3 weeks agoWashington Wizards guard Jordan Poole (illness) is questionable to play in Sunday's match-up versus the Boston Celtics. The 24-year-old guard missed Friday's contest against the Chicago Bulls because of a non-COVID illness and appears to be in danger of missing the season finale. Poole has been performing at a high level in recent games, including a performance against the Toronto Raptors on April 7, in which he dropped 29 points and dished out 12 assists. If he cannot play, more playing time will likely be given to Jared Butler and Johnny Davis. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Sunday to see if Poole will suit up for the last game of the season.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoWashington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma (ankle) will not suit up for Sunday's contest versus the Boston Celtics. The 28-year-old's absence from the season finale will be his fifth consecutive game on the sidelines because of a right ankle sprain. This will be the end of his season, as the Wizards are far away from the playoff race, with 15 wins. Kuzma had a very good year for fantasy managers, finishing with averages of 22.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward/center Al Horford (rest) will not play in Sunday's season finale against the Washington Wizards. Along with Horford, the Celtics will be resting their five usual starters. Center Luke Kornet and forward Xavier Tillman Sr. could be very busy in the frontcourt, and they are worth considering for DFS contests on Sunday, especially going up against the Wizards, one the worst teams in the National Basketball Association.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBoston Celtics guard Jrue Holiday (knee) won't play on Sunday against the Wizards. Holiday has been banged up all year. With that in mind, the C's need him as healthy as possible for the playoffs, so he'll sit out on Sunday. The C's also won't have Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, Jaylen Brown, and Derrick White (ankle). As a result, Payton Pritchard, coming off a double-double in Friday's win over the Charlotte Hornets, is a lock for all DFS contests.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoMiami Heat guard Terry Rozier (neck) is out for Sunday's contest against the Toronto Raptors. He continues to be hampered by neck spasms and will miss his fourth straight game. Expect Caleb Martin and Tyler Herro to run the backcourt, while Delon Wright could play some important minutes. Duncan Robinson (back) is listed as questionable and would likely factor into the rotation if he were to suit up. Rozier will hopefully recover from this ailment and get back on the court soon, as the Heat will need his contributions to try to make another run to the NBA Finals.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBoston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown won't play on Sunday against the Wizards. The Celtics claimed the No. 1 spot in the Eastern Conference by a mile, so the team can afford to give Brown the afternoon off to rest in preparation for the postseason. With Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis, Derrick White (ankle), and Jrue Holiday (knee) also sitting this one out, Payton Pritchard, coming off an impressive 31-point, 11-assist effort in Friday's win over Charlotte, will be a lock for DFS managers. At the same time, Luke Kornet, Sam Hauser, and Neemias Queta deserve attention.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoMiami Heat guard Duncan Robinson (back) is considered questionable for Sunday's contest against the Toronto Raptors. The sharpshooter sat out the previous three games because of a back injury, and he recently stated he does not have a timetable to return. It is somewhat encouraging that he is listed as questionable for the contest instead of being labeled as out. There is a lot on the line in Sunday's game for the Heat, as they could potentially move up to the sixth seed and avoid the Play-In Tournament, so having Robinson back in their lineup would be beneficial. Fantasy managers should check on his status before tip-off on Sunday.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets center Day'Ron Sharpe (wrist) won't play on Sunday versus the Philadelphia 76ers. He didn't suit up for Friday's loss to the New York Knicks. But his absence against Philly means his year is over. However, Sharpe had the best season of his career, averaging 6.8 points and 6.4 boards. The 22-year-old could see more work in the middle for the Nets in 2024-25, depending on what the future holds for Nicolas Claxton. Yet, as far as the regular-season finale is concerned, Claxton could see significantly fewer minutes than usual, meaning Noah Clowney, Jalen Wilson, and Trendon Watford are worth considering for DFS contests.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (rest) will not play against the Washington Wizards on Sunday. The team will have the 26-year-old rest with the playoffs coming up. Boston will have all of its top six guys out, meaning many open minutes for the rest of the crew. Sam Hauser and Oshae Brissett will be the players benefiting from Tatum's absence.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoToronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley (adductor) will not play in Sunday's contest versus the Miami Heat. He will be sidelined during the final regular season game because of a left adductor strain. With Toronto's season coming to a close, they will turn their attention to building a better roster for next season, which Quickley will likely be a major part of. The 24-year-old guard was traded from the New York Knicks to the Raptors in the middle of the season, and his production boomed. He shined as a starter, averaging more than 18 points and dishing out over six assists per game.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) won't play in Sunday's contest against the 76ers. He's missed plenty of time throughout the 2023-24 campaign because of a hip issue, so his absence for the regular-season finale doesn't surprise anyone. But by all accounts, the 2017 No. 9 overall pick had a decent season, averaging 6.6 points, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals. Dennis Schroder (Achilles) also won't play, meaning Jacob Gilyard could get the start. However, he struggled in Friday's loss to the Knicks, which won't increase his DFS stock on Sunday.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (rest) will miss Sunday's season finale against the Washington Wizards. The Celtics are resting several key players to keep them fresh for the playoffs, which are just around the corner. Xavier Tillman Sr. and Luke Kornet could capitalize on the absence of key frontcourt players. With the stage set for them to perform well, they have a prime opportunity to excel against Washington, one of the worst teams in the NBA.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard Dennis Schroder (Achilles) won't play on Sunday versus the 76ers. The journeyman has played well since his trade to Brooklyn ahead of the deadline, averaging 14.6 points and 6.0 assists while shooting a career-high 41.2% from behind the arc. Schroder wants to remain a Net, so this may not be his final game with the team. But with Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) also sidelined for the regular season-finale, Jacob Gilyard may draw another start. However, Lonnie Walker IV, who had 15 points in Friday's loss to the New York Knicks, should be the guy to target for DFS purposes.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (toe) won't play on Sunday against Philadelphia. The Nets have one game left on their schedule before calling it a year. However, Johnson won't be on the floor to close out the 2023-24 campaign, which isn't surprising to anyone. Along with Johnson, the Nets won't have Dorian Finney-Smith (knee) and Day'Ron Sharpe (wrist) near the basket. As a result, Noah Clowney, Jalen Wilson, and Trendon Watford could remain heavily involved, especially since Nicolas Claxton might see fewer minutes than usual throughout a meaningless contest for Brooklyn.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (back) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's final regular season game against the Charlotte Hornets. He is dealing with a low back contusion, and the Cavaliers will likely take the cautious approach and let him rest. Both Donovan Mitchell (knee) and Caris LeVert (knee) will be sidelined in this game, as Cleveland is making sure their backcourt is healthy for the playoffs. Garland is a critical piece of the rotation, and he will need to play at a high level if the Cavaliers wish to make a deep postseason run this year.Source: NBA Injury Report
