He played less than 10 minutes and didn't register any counting stats other than a minus-one rating. He was limited to 11:15 of ice time in the contest, finishing with three shots, one block, three hits, and a minus-one rating. Walker made his 10th appearance for the Avalanche since his trade from Philadelphia at the beginning of the month. He's made an impact at both ends of the ice with four points (three goals, one assist), 14 blocks, and 15 hits. But the 29-year-old might have to sit out some action now. Walker's absence would open the door for Caleb Jones to rejoin the lineup.Source: Ryan Boulding
1 month agoDetroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin injured his knee on Saturday against Florida but was able to complete the contest. With less than 30 seconds played in the game, Red Wings defenseman Jeff Petry hit Larkin on the knee with a shot from the blue line. Larkin needed help to get off the ice. However, he was able to carry on in the second period and ended up producing a crucial power-play goal in the third period that gave Detroit a point in a 3-2 shootout loss. Larkin only recently missed time with a lower-body injury and appears to be desperate to stay in the lineup as the team continues a fierce playoff race in the Eastern Conference. The American centerman leads Detroit with 29 goals and has had the same number of assists in 60 games.Source: Colby Guy
1 month agoMinnesota Wild winger Marcus Foligno is expected to have season-ending lower-body surgery. He missed a second consecutive game on Saturday versus Vegas. 1 month agoMinnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury isn't ruling out a return to the Wild next season but also said it was likely a return to the Wild or retirement. "Yeah, it's probably Minnesota or retirement. I wouldn't want to move and take my three kids out of their environment. They've moved enough already. I don't want to uproot them." Fleury is in the final season of a two-year deal but said if he returns, it will be on a one-year contract. It's been a difficult season for the Wild while Fleury has posted a 2.85 goals-against average and an .899 save percentage in 36 games. Fleury ranks second all-time with 560 career wins.Source: NHL.com
1 month agoColumbus Blue Jackets center Adam Fantilli may not return to the lineup again this season due to a calf laceration suffered in a Jan. 28 game against the Seattle Kraken. The third-overall pick of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft has recorded 12 goals and 27 points in 49 games this season, quality numbers for a 19-year-old considering the Blue Jackets rank 26th with 2.84 goals per game on the season. Of course, there's no reason to rush the prized pivot back into the lineup considering the Blue Jackets sit 29th overall in the NHL with a 23-38-12 record, which is also good for last in the Eastern Conference.Source: NHL.com

At the time of his injury, Seeler was leading the NHL with 184 blocked shots. He now sits fourth. "I just think getting back to my game as quickly as I can is probably the best thing for me, and that includes blocking shots," Seeler said. "But just playing simple and playing my game and hopefully can get back to that tonight." The defensive-minded Seeler has one goal and 12 points while adding 112 hits in 63 games this season.Source: NHL.com

The 27-year-old will skate on a line with Max Pacioretty and Hendrix Lapierre. "That's a good option for us," Carbery said. "That's the way that we'll start. We'll look at some other things, but him coming in gives us a bit of a different look and we can go back to some things that were working for us 5-on-5." Milano has tallied 13 goals and 20 points in 39 games on the season.Source: NHL.com

Vilardi has dealt with a number of injuries this season but has been productive when healthy, tallying 16 goals and 30 points across 38 games while he also has 93 shots on goal and a plus-12 rating in that time. It appears Vilardi will slot back into the top line alongside Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor on Saturday.
