3 years agoWith Joakim Noah’s injuries and 20-game suspension, Guillermo Hernangomez has taken on the starting position for the rest of the season. He has shown he can be productive on a consistent basis on the offensive and defensive end, even though he plays with a crowded starting five. His night finished with 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting, five rebounds, two assists and one steal. He is a great pickup if he is on your waiver wire in any sized league.--Moosey Moose - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
3 years agoDerrick Rose continues to be a focal point of New York’s offense, even though he is surrounded by strong scorers in Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis. His ability to create shots for himself sometimes limits the Knicks, but it is great for his own value in fantasy leagues and DFS. Rose finished the game with 27 points on 12-for-17 shooting, four rebounds, six assists and one steal across 33 minutes.--Moosey Moose - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
3 years agoAfter scoring only 18 points against Dallas on Saturday night, DeMar DeRozan quickly got back to his high-scoring ways against the Magic. He finished the game with 36 points on 13-of-21 shooting and 9-of-14 from the free throw line. This is the third time in four games that he broke 35 points. His value is likely to take a hit once Kyle Lowry returns from his injury in the coming weeks, though. Toronto faces another weak team on Wednesday when they play Charlotte.--Moosey Moose - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
3 years agoLeBron James finished the game with 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists across 30 minutes. James was forced to leave the game early due to an elbow he received in the back by David Lee. While it did not look serious, it was likely that he left the game early due to the Cavaliers being down close to 25 points throughout the entirety of the game. Look for James to bounce back Thursday against the Bulls.--Moosey Moose - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
3 years agoThe Kings have announced that veteran Tyreke Evans has been ruled out against Memphis on Monday. Evans is coming off a game where he had eight points, four rebounds, two three-pointers and one assist in 21 minutes on Sunday against the Clippers. To reduce wear and tear, the Kings are resting Evans in back-to-back games. Both Buddy Hield and Ben McLemore will see an increase in minutes with Evans out on Monday. Both players are decent options if you need a replacement for Evans.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Sactown Royalty
3 years agoThe Lakers were without guard/forward Brandon Ingram on Sunday, and it looks like they could be without him again on Tuesday. Ingram did not practice on Monday and has been dealing with a right knee injury. This season, Ingram is averaging 9.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He's been playing huge amounts of minutes lately, and that means Corey Brewer will likely soak most of those up if Ingram is ruled out on Tuesday. Brewer started for Ingram on Sunday and should see another if Ingram is forced to miss Tuesday's contest.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Mike Bresnahan
3 years agoSuns forward T.J. Warren returned to the court in style on Sunday. Warren scored 21 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, four steals and no turnovers in 39 minutes against the Hornets. A foot contusion cost him two games, but he's returned red-hot. Head coach Earl Watson is going to let Warren play, as he's averaging a ridiculous 41 minutes per game. The Suns need offense badly, and Warren could be the answer. He needs to be owned in all leagues.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Yahoo
3 years agoThe injury bug refuses to leave veteran forward Paul Millsap alone. He will be forced to miss his sixth straight game on Tuesday against the Suns. Ersan Ilyasova will start again in the absence of Millsap, and he's been doing an incredible job. In Sunday's contest against the Nets, Ilyasova grabbed a season-high 18 rebounds, scoring nine points in 32 minutes. The Hawks are not sure when Millsap will return to the lineup, and Ilyasova should be in your starting lineup until Millsap returns.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Chris Vivlamore
3 years agoThe Heat have ruled guard/forward Dion Waiters out of Tuesday's contest against the Pistons. Waiters will miss his fifth straight game with an ankle injury, but is moving in the right direction. That means Josh Richardson will once again make another start for the Heat on Tuesday. Head coach Erik Spoelstra recently said Richardson has started to turn the corner and likes the improvement he is making. Richardson remains a short-term option until Waiters is able to return to the court.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Palm Beach Post
3 years agoUtah Jazz guard/forward Gordon Hayward is dealing with a bruised left quadriceps and is questionable for Monday's game against the Pelicans. The X-rays were negative, and the Jazz will likely have Hayward test out the quad in pregame warmups. This season, Hayward is averaging 21.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He has plenty of incentive to play, as the Jazz only hold a one-game lead over the Clippers for the No. 4 seed. If Hayward doesn't play tonight, make sure you have Joe Ingles ready, as he'll be a great option in the absence of Hayward.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Jody Genessy
3 years agoPacers head coach Nate McMillan says veteran forward Al Jefferson will miss at least a few days. The MRI came back negative, and Jefferson is just dealing with a sprained left ankle that forced him out of Sunday's contest. Jefferson is on crutches and in a walking boot, but it looks worse than it really is. Big Al should be back in action soon. He's averaging 8.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 0.9 assists this season. Lavoy Allen, Kevin Seraphin and Rakeem Christmas are all candidates to take over some minutes for Jefferson. None are solid fantasy options especially with Jefferson out only a few days.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Pat Boylan
3 years agoBad news hit for Kyle Korver and his fantasy owners, as the veteran guard has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Spurs. He's dealing with left foot soreness, the same injury that sidelined Korver for seven games earlier this month. Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue doesn't know when the sharpshooter will return to the court. This season, Korver is averaging 10.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists. Playoffs are just around the corner, and it could be time to invest in other options. Veteran guard J.R. Smith should see plenty of minutes with Korver sidelined.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Marla Ridenour
3 years agoSince joining the Washington Wizards, Brandon Jennings has proved to be a more than capable floor general for the Wizards’ second unit, recently orchestrating a 70-point bench scoring performance against the Brooklyn Nets. Jennings averages 13 assists per 36 minutes, the most in the NBA. His production speaks for itself. With averages of six points, two rebounds, six assists and less than one turnover per game in 16 minutes of game time over his last eight games, one can easily see that Jennings has found a home on the Wizards’ second unit. If he’s still on your waiver wire, add him right now.--Teodor Stanescu - RotoBallerSource: Ben Mehic
3 years agoWith the Minnesota Timberwolves now basically out of the playoff picture, rookie Kris Dunn is likely to get more minutes as the team looks to preserve Ricky Rubio and see what they have in Dunn at the same. While Dunn has not impressed much in his rookie season, his last two games have shown sparks of potential. Dunn has had double-digit points in both games to go with averages of 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and one block. Dunn’s 6-foot-9 wingspan and basketball IQ allow him to make a lot of plays on the defensive end despite struggling on offense. Expect Dunn to score more as he becomes more comfortable with the NBA style, and his steals and blocks should remain consistent. Fantasy owners should take a chance on him if they are struggling for defensive stats at the point guard position.--Teodor Stanescu - RotoBallerSource: Brian Sampson
3 years agoGordon Hayward may be sidelined with a quadriceps contusion for Monday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans. With fantasy playoffs in full swing, this could be a crushing blow to some owners. If Hayward is unable to play on Monday, Joe Ingles, Joe Johnson, and Rodney Hood are all likely to benefit. With season averages of seven points, three rebounds, three assists, and one steal a game, Ingles provides the best upside and may help to stop the bleeding in Hayward’s absence.--Teodor Stanescu - RotoBallerSource: Tim MacMahon
