Holland proved a worthy foe throughout, hurting Nelson and threatening him with submission attempts in response to Nelson's top control to earn a unanimous decision of 29-28 scorecards across the board. Holland came into the fight on a two-fight losing skid, dropping fights against Reinier de Ridder and Roman Dolidze. In 15 minutes of action, Holland landed 55 significant strikes.
