Saturday features 12 games in all with a spotlight on games like Toronto and Philadelphia, Detroit and Florida, plus the chalky Boston and Ottawa.
Remember, when looking around for plays, an over/under of 6 dictates offense, but an over/under of 5 or sometimes 5.5 tilts towards the goalies. There are several games at 6.5, as that has become the new norm in October now.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/2/19. DFS Forwards to Consider
Jack Eichel - C, BUF vs NYI (FD - $8,500, DK - $7,500)
Eichel carries high potential on Saturday night even against a tough New York Islander team. Yes, this is a sludge matchup but the center will not be happy after his team's lackluster performance in Washington -- including his own. The chances of Eichel scoring a goal are quite high and among the highest on the slate. He is more than capable of 5+ shots on goal and 4+ scoring chances in this game with ease.
David Pastrnak - W, BOS vs OTT (FD - $9,200, DK - $8,200)
The winger keeps going and has another incredible matchup versus the Ottawa Senators. Pastrnak has 20+ FanDuel points in eight of his last ten games and 24 real-world points in the last ten contests. Considering his potential to hit the shot bonus as well and nearly five scoring chances a game versus Ottawa, Pastrnak and Boston's top line has to have a place in lineups on Saturday night. They will be highly owned considering Pastrnak's chalk price but a 12-game slate will help temper that ownership somewhat.
Also, Consider:
- Sean Couturier, Christian Dvorak, and even Aleksander Barkov could be viable plays on Saturday night.
- Mark Stone, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Patrick Kane are also in plus-matchup situations on this large slate.
DFS Defenders to Consider
Thomas Chabot - D, OTT vs BOS (FD - $5,300, DK - $6,200)
Chabot may have lower ownership for two reasons. One will be because Ottawa is playing in Boston. The second will be the day-to-day designation still hanging around him. This is even though he was pronounced good for the road trip on Friday. His lower FanDuel price will catch some people off-guard and make him a more feasible play. Ottawa plays will be contrarian on Saturday night but some success could be had. There is Alexander Edler for floor possibilities if one does not want to play Chabot on Saturday.
Dougie Hamilton - D, CAR vs NJ (FD - $6,500, DK - $6,600)
Hamilton works great as an easy to use GPP option on Saturday night. Remember, Carolina uses a balanced power-play structure so unit designation matters little. The Hurricanes' defenseman has 16 points in 13 games and keeps hitting shot and block bonuses. New Jersey tries to play low-event hockey but they will give up tons of high-danger chances because their team defense is in shambles currently. Expect Hamilton to potentially end up with 3-5 shots, 3-5 blocked shots, and maybe another point or two in this game alone.
Also, Consider:
- Jaccob Slavin and Jeff Petry enjoy plus-matchups and are still reasonably priced.
- Sami Vatanen and Sean Walker are solid, value plays (under $4,500) on Tuesday night. Also, do not sleep on Filip Hronek from Detroit.
DFS Goalie to Consider
Marc-Andre Fleury - G, VGK vs WPG (FD - $8,900, DK - $8,300)
The thought process was to look at Winnipeg's shot potential. It is high and close to the 35-40 shot range. Why? The Jets were so bad but efficient offensively in San Jose that they may overcompensate on Saturday in Vegas. Winnipeg was incredibly lucky that Martin Jones was in net. Marc-Andre Fleury is more than up to the task. Fleury has one of the highest chances to garner a win on this large slate.
Also, Consider:
- The other good GPP choices on Saturday night includes whoever starts in Carolina, Darcy Kuemper and possibly Frederik Andersen. Andersen carries many risks but again could see lots of rubber come his way.
