Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby appeared to be on his way to his third straight season with double-digit sacks before an injury slowed him down. In Week 4, Crosby missed the first game of his career with an injury he initially suffered in Week 2. The injury persisted, and what began as a strong season for Crosby ended in disappointment. After making 6.5 sacks, 11 QB hits, and 10 tackles for losses from Week 1 to Week 7, Crosby only made a single sack for the rest of the season, and the Raiders went on a ten-game losing streak. Crosby opted for season-ending ankle surgery and missed the final four games of the season. Despite the down year, Crosby still ranks amongst the top ten for most sacks since the 2022 season, and he is in a good position to rebound. He has already recovered from the surgery, a tightrope procedure, he had done in December and is back at practice. The likely return of defensive tackle Christian Wilkins and defensive end Malcolm Koonce, who missed most of 2024, could open up lanes to get to the quarterback. Crosby begins the 2025 season solidly in the tier-1B of edge rushers and could push his way into tier 1A.--Mitchell Blatt
