Njokuani entered the bout on a three-fight losing streak, so he made the drop to welterweight to face McKee. Njokuani had success on the feet as he outstruck McKee in every single round, as the Irish fighter tried to push Njokuani up against the fence. 1 month agoBill Algeo suffered a first-round TKO loss to Kyle Nelson at UFC Atlantic City on Saturday. Algeo entered the fight as a sizeable betting favorite, but early on, he got caught by a clean punch that rocked him. Once he was rocked, Nelson swarmed him landing heavy shots which forced the ref to jump in and stopped the fight at the four-minute mark of the first round. With the loss, Algeo is now 5-4 in the UFC, while this was the first time he's ever been knocked out in his career.Source: UFC
1 month agoKyle Nelson picked up his third straight win, and third straight upset win as he scored a first-round knockout win over Bill Algeo at UFC Atlantic City. Nelson was one of the bigger underdogs on the card, but from the get-go, he stormed Algeo landing heavy shots and had him wobbled. After Nelson landed more shots, the ref jumped in to stop the fight at the four-minute mark of the first round. 1 month agoJoaquin Buckley scored a second-round TKO win over Vicente Luque in the co-main event of UFC Atlantic City. Buckley stepped up on short notice to face Luque, who was ranked 11th at the time. The first round was competitive as it was back-and-forth, but in the second round, as Luque tried to get the fight to the ground, Buckey ended up on top and landed heavy ground-and-pound to get the TKO win. With the win, Buckley is now 3-0 since dropping back down to welterweight and is now 8-4 in the UFC.Source: UFC
