3 weeks agoWashington Wizards center Richaun Holmes (toe) has been tagged as questionable ahead of their Friday night matchup with the Chicago Bulls. The veteran big man has been a mainstay on the injury report this year, so his status has been even more difficult to judge as the season has come to a close. He hasn't played in the last seven consecutive games and it seems he would more than likely miss an eighth since the Wizards are more concerned with getting the best draft pick possible. If he's watching from the sidelines again, Anthony Gill would be the best big as a streaming option, but is a very risky selection, especially in DFS lineups.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) has been ruled out for Friday's meeting with the New York Knicks. He has missed the previous five games due to right hip inflammation and will be forced to sit out another matchup. Smith is having a tough end to the season and only has one more chance to return to the court on Sunday, as Brooklyn takes on the Philadelphia 76ers in the final game of the year. The backup point guard's absence will likely lead to heavy minutes for Cam Thomas and Dennis Schroder.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard Jacob Gilyard (hip) is considered probable for Friday's match-up against the New York Knicks. He has been bothered by a left hip contusion recently, but he should be able to suit up for this game. The 25-year-old was available for Wednesday's contest against the Toronto Raptors but never saw a minute of playing time. The last time Gilyard stepped onto the court was on March 27, only playing four minutes in that contest. He is not a consistent part of Brooklyn's rotation, so not much can be expected from him to close out the regular season.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's matchup against the New York Knicks. He has not played in the previous two contests because of left knee inflammation, and the injury will hold him out for another game. Noah Clowney is expected to continue to remain in the starting lineup and receive a heavy workload again, after playing at least 35 minutes in two consecutive games. Sunday's meeting against the Philadelphia 76ers will be the only opportunity for Finney-Smith to play again this season, as the Nets have been eliminated from playoff contention.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies forward Lamar Stevens (groin) will not suit up for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He is coming off a productive game (16 points, six rebounds, and four blocks) while logging 37 minutes in Thursday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, he is dealing with left groin soreness and will sit out Friday's game. Stevens joins a long list of injured Grizzlies players, which is nothing new for this team. His final chance to return to action will be on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. Trey Jemison will likely take on a large role again.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies guard John Konchar (heel) will not suit up for Friday's contest against the Los Angeles Lakers. The 28-year-old has not played since March 22 and this will be his tenth straight game he will be out as he tries to recover from plantar fasciitis in his right heel. There are only two games left on the schedule for the injury-plagued Grizzlies, and there is a good chance Konchar will not play again this year. Memphis will likely have a tight rotation of young players to close out the season, including GG Jackson II, Jake LaRavia, and Scotty Pippen Jr.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Luke Kennard (knee) is listed as out for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. This will be his fifth straight game on the sidelines because of a left knee injury. With the season almost over, it would not be surprising if Kennard has already played his last game of the year. The Grizzlies have been ravaged by injuries all season long, and they will continue to rely on a group of young players. Fantasy managers can expect GG Jackson II, Jake LaRavia, and Scotty Pippen Jr. to lead the backcourt.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoSan Antonio Spurs forward Cedi Osman (ankle) will not be available to play on Friday against the Denver Nuggets. This will be his fifth straight game on the sidelines because of a right ankle sprain. With only two games left in the regular season, the Spurs are in no rush to have Osman return to the court, as they are eliminated from the playoff race. While he is out, expect Julian Champagnie, Sidy Cissoko, and Blake Wesley to see more minutes down the stretch. Osman's last chance to return will come on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoDallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II (knee) will miss the rest of the regular season. This isn't surprising, considering he's made little progress toward a return to the court. However, it appears there's a chance he could be back for the playoffs, although it's too early to tell. But until Lively is back in the mix, Daniel Gafford, P.J. Washington, and Maxi Kleber should hold things down underneath the rim.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Brad Townsend
Share:
3 weeks agoSan Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson (foot) will not play in Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets. This will be the third straight game he has missed because of a sprained left foot. The 24-year-old has only played in one of the last six games for the Spurs as San Antonio sits at the bottom of the Western Conference standings. Johnson will only have one more chance to return to the court, which will be on Sunday versus the Detroit Pistons. In his absence, Julian Champagnie, Sidy Cissoko, and Blake Wesley are players who could see bigger roles as the regular season winds down.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (toe) is questionable for Friday's meeting with the New York Knicks. The 28-year-old hasn't had the best season, averaging 13.4 points and 4.3 rebounds, both down from the 2022-23 campaign. He's also missed a lot of time due to various ailments, which was a source of frustration for fantasy participants. At any rate, with Dorian Finney-Smith (knee) out, Noah Clowney, coming off a 10-point, seven-block outing in Wednesday's win over Toronto, should see plenty of work. But if Johnson gets ruled out, Jalen Wilson and Trendon Watford would emerge as viable value options for DFS managers.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (quadriceps) will not suit up for Friday's match-up with the Los Angeles Lakers due to a right quadriceps injury. He will miss his fifth consecutive game and will likely not play another minute this season, as the Grizzlies are out of playoff contention. Injuries are nothing new for Memphis this year, as they continue to rely on many inexperienced players. Their frontout remains thin as Brandon Clarke (hand) is also out for Friday's contest. Fantasy managers can expect Trey Jemison to handle a heavy workload once again, as he played 36 minutes last game.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoWashington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma (ankle) won't play on Friday versus the Bulls. He'll now miss a fourth consecutive contest, and with the Wizards down to two games left in the 2023-24 campaign, his season is likely over. With Tyus Jones (back) out and Jordan Poole (illness) questionable, Deni Advija and Corey Kispert may be the go-to offensive options for the Wizards on Friday night. There would also be room for Anthony Gill and Patrick Baldwin Jr. to get more involved, with the duo combining for 30 points in Tuesday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoGolden State Warriors guard/forward Gary Payton II (calf) won't be in the lineup on Thursday against Portland. After being a late addition to the injury report, Payton II hasn't been able to get rid of tightness in his left calf to be available to play. Draymond Green (knee) and Klay Thompson (knee) are also on the shelf on Thursday, leaving Golden State a bit shorthanded. However, the team should still have enough quality to take care of business against a struggling Portland squad. There are more minutes available for Chris Paul, Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, and Moses Moody. Paul and Kuminga will join the starting five for the clash.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Sam Gordon
Share:
3 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke (hand) has been ruled out for Friday's contest against the Los Angeles Lakers. He missed the previous game due to left Achilles injury management, but the injury report shows Clarke is dealing with a hand injury now. The 27-year-old has spent a large majority of the season recovering from last year's Achilles tear and has only played in six games since returning to action on March 27. It is great for Grizzlies fans to see their talented big man back on the court looking healthy, as he has averaged over 11 points per game while playing over 20 minutes in all six games. While he is out, expect Trey Jemison to lead the frontcourt.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
