He gained over six shots on the greens at TPC Craig Ranch over rounds one, two, and four. His third-round score of -2 and losing -2.67 strokes on the greens potentially kept the 36-year-old from getting his first career win. He narrowly missed the cut in Myrtle Beach, which could be chalked up to one or two shots making the difference. Simply put, Campos has performed much better over his last few outings than his season-long stats reflect, and those looking to stash more than one or two top-tier guys may consider looking his way at $7,100 on FanDuel.

17 hours agoFrom a statistical perspective, Lucas Glover couldn't be more ready for a strong week at Colonial. Aside from dodgy putting, he checks all the boxes for what works around this track: accurate tee balls (sixth in driving accuracy: 74.92%), solid approach play from shorter distances (10th in approaches outside of 100 yards), and a great short game (11th in strokes gained around the green: 0.419). As most golfers know, putting can come and go like a breeze, but even as bad as it's been in spurts this season, Glover has been one of the more consistent cut-makers on the planet. Consider him as safe of a pick as any in the $9k range on FanDuel.

17 hours agoThe thing with golf is it only takes one week for a player's life to change. But building confidence and consistency takes a very long time to wrangle in. For Hayden Springer, there is still a long way to go on both fronts. As a PGA Tour rookie via Q-School, things have been slow, as he comes to the Charles Schwab Challenge this week on a string of four straight missed cuts. He's a long hitter (16th in driving distance: 301 yards) who doesn't always know where it's going off the tee (56.28% driving accuracy), and iron play has been dreadful for most of the year (-0.418 strokes gained on approach). Even his 84th ranking in strokes gained putting (0.078) results from wildly inconsistent weeks with the flat stick; most recently losing over 12 shots on the greens at the Myrtle Beach Classic. Until he shows signs of anything, he's better left alone at $7,400 on FanDuel.

18 hours agoOn the greens, Tyson Alexander is one of the best on tour (ranked 26th in strokes gained putting: 0.454), but everything else leaves much to be desired. The irons and woods have gone pretty crooked which doesn't present enough scoring opportunities for the wedges and putter. It takes the total package at this level, or at least more than only having one part of the game nailed down. And he's coming off a missed cut at the Myrtle Beach Classic where he lost strokes in every strokes gained metric. At the bottom-of-the-barrel price of $7,100 on FanDuel, chances are this is a "get what you paid for" pick that is better left alone.

19 hours agoThe last couple of weeks have not been kind to J.T. Poston, but what's a guy averaging 288 yards off the tee (ranked 162nd on Tour) supposed to do on 7,400+ yard courses? The interesting part though, is the part of his game that's let him down the most over his last two starts has been approach play (averaged -0.665 strokes gained on approach) and putting (averaged -1.275 strokes gained putting). The upside comes when considering that the T5 finish at Harbour Town before the two-event slump plays similarly to Colonial, which is short and demands accuracy over distance off the tee. Poston is ranked 7th on the year in driving accuracy (74.18%) while ranking much better on approach with the lower irons in the bag than the six through four irons he's been forced to hit over the last two weeks. The putter still has to make a resurgence, but everything tee to green should be much more reliable this week.

The OWGR No. 76 heads to Fort Worth with zero missed cuts to his name in the 2024 calendar, a span of 14 events that includes four top-25 finishes. Hubbard also had a solid performance at the PGA Championship last week, finding himself toward the top of the leaderboard heading into the weekend and ultimately finishing at T26. He looks to be a solid course fit at Colonial Country Club as well, ranking sixth in fairways gained, 17th on approach from 125-175 yards, 32nd in Bentgrass putting, and 22nd in par 4 scoring over the last 24 rounds. Hubbard could be headed for back-to-back top-10 finishes at this event, a result that would be pay off in spades at his $7,700 DraftKings salary.

22 hours agoAlejandro Tosti provided one of the more memorable highlights of the PGA Championship last week when his drive carried 325 yards and landed squarely in the middle of the par-four island green on the 13th hole. That shot emphasized what is undoubtedly the best weapon in the 27-year-old Argentinian's bag -- his driving distance. Unfortunately for Tosti backers, Colonial Country Club will mitigate his driving prowess, as it is a positional golf course that requires golfers to club down off the tee on a majority of holes. The rest of the skill set required for success around Colonial does not provide a positive outlook for Tosti, as he ranks outside of the top 90 golfers in the field in fairways gained, overall approach, around the green, overall putting, and bogey avoidance over the last 24 rounds. Fantasy managers should hold off on rostering Tosti until he tees off at a course where his length off the tee can be a true differentiator.

The 34-year-old Tour rookie is viewed as a late bloomer who is rounding into form, having posted six top-30 finishes in 14 starts in the 2024 calendar year. Kim does have eight international victories on his resume, including back-to-back wins on the Korn Ferry Tour as recently as last August. He profiles as a solid course fit at Colonial Country Club, as he ranks 34th in fairways gained, 27th in good drive percentage, 23rd in overall approach, and 10th in greens gained over the last 24 rounds. If Kim can find his putter this week, fantasy managers could strike gold with him at his $6,300 DraftKings salary.

The 25-year-old South Korean is starting to find a rhythm in his rookie season, having made seven consecutive cuts (excluding the Zurich Classic), with his best result coming as a T4 at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson three starts ago. He also made the cut at the challenging PGA Championship last week, despite uncharacteristically losing strokes in the short game. Prior to that event, Kim had gained in strokes in the short game in 13 consecutive starts, and with a low greens-in-regulation percentage expected at Colonial, that skill set should be a boon for his chances to contend this week. Over the last 24 rounds, he ranks 21st in strokes gained around-the-green, second in scrambling, 25th in Bentgrass putting, and 15th in bogey avoidance. Kim did miss the cut at this event last year, but the risk could certainly be worth the reward for fantasy managers this time around at his $6,700 DraftKings price tag.
