Miles McBride Gets Extreme Workload Without Jalen Brunson
2 months agoNew York Knicks guard Miles McBride logged a season-high 47 minutes in Sunday's 107-98 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, collecting 16 points on 6-for-15 shooting, five assists, four three-pointers, and one rebound. Thrust into a ridiculous workload with Jalen Brunson (knee) hobbling off the court early, McBride came off the bench and didn't sit for the remainder of the contest following the All-Star's injury. Over McBride's four showings without Brunson in New York's lineup this season, the 23-year-old spot-up shooter is averaging 17.5 points, 4.8 dimes, 4.3 boards, 3.0 treys, and 1.5 steals in 42.2 minutes. With Brunson questionable at best for Tuesday's matchup versus the Atlanta Hawks, McBride is well worth a speculative add off fantasy waiver wires. The Hawks give up the second-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards, and they are tied for the worst defensive efficiency rating (117.6).
