Malcolm Brogdon Held Scoreless Before Departing
5 months agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Malcolm Brogdon (knee) is dealing with right knee soreness after going to the locker room on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors. Brogdon's night ended after 13 scoreless minutes on three field-goal attempts. Despite leaving Wednesday with a fantasy dud, managers should at least feel some relief that this is not the same leg Brogdon experienced hamstring soreness from earlier this season, costing him five games between Nov. 12 and Nov. 19. The oft-injured reigning Sixth Man of the Year is absorbing the largest usage rate of his career (27.5%) on the 6-14 Blazers, turning in 17.0 points on a career-low 41.2% shooting from the field, 6.1 dimes, and 2.0 triples per game in Rip City this year. Portland is especially glad to have gotten Anfernee Simons back, while scuffling rookie Scoot Henderson would receive a fantasy boost if Brogdon misses Friday versus the Dallas Mavericks.
