Jaren Jackson Jr. Remains Out Monday
2 months agoMemphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (quad) is out for Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Jackson will miss his third straight contest due to right quad tendonitis, and the injury is starting to become a concern for the star big man's shutdown risk as the 20-41 Grizzlies continue to fall out of the playoff picture. The 24-year-old two-time blocks champion hasn't been as good in nine-category fantasy leagues with so much usage on his plate, but over his last 21 appearances, he's averaging 25.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.7 combined steals and blocks. Wednesday's matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers is Jackson's next chance to play. Santi Aldama remains in line for heavy minutes, taking averages of 10.6 points, 5.8 boards, 2.9 dimes, and 2.0 threes over his last 16 showings into a tough matchup against a Nets team allowing the sixth-fewest FanDuel points to opposing power forwards.
