Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Corbin Burnes pitched well in a 7-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays in 10 innings on Thursday. Burnes allowed three runs (one earned) over 5 1/3 innings of work while striking out eight and walking three. He picked up 10 swinging strikes in the start but could not turn that into a win for his team. Burnes has now made five starts for Arizona this season, posting a 0-1 record, 4.05 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 25 strikeouts over 26 2/3 innings of work. He will look for his first win of the season in his next start, which is scheduled for Wednesday against the New York Mets.
