Carlos Correa Likely Heading To Injured List
2 weeks agoMinnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said following Friday's loss to the Detroit Tigers that shortstop Carlos Correa (oblique) is expected to wind up on the injured list. Correa is heading for imaging after suffering a strained right oblique on Friday against the Tigers, and the club will know more about his status on Saturday. It's another hit to a Twins lineup that's already struggling to produce runs without the dynamic Royce Lewis (quad), as the 29-year-old former All-Star was slashing a robust .306/.432/.444 with one home run, two doubles, and four RBI over 36 at-bats (11 games) to begin the season. With No. 2 prospect Brooks Lee (back) currently out of action, Minnesota appears to be down to veterans Kyle Farmer and Willi Castro at short in the meantime. Farmer is 1-for-16 and Castro is 3-for-29 so far this year, so fantasy managers can certainly find better infielder options on waiver wires.
