Cam Thomas Expected To Return Thursday
5 months agoBrooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (ankle) has been upgraded to probable for Thursday's game versus the Charlotte Hornets. It's a great sign for Thomas, who should make his return from a sprained left ankle that he suffered in Nov. 8's contest. Sidelined for three weeks due to the injury, the 22-year-old skilled scorer was one of the Association's biggest surprises before going down with averages of 26.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 threes in 32.4 minutes through eight games (seven starts). Thomas' likely return should leave fewer shots on the table all around and most adversely affect the playing time of Lonnie Walker IV, who is scoring 15.1 points per night this year. The minutes of Dorian Finney-Smith and Royce O'Neale should remain safe for as long as Ben Simmons (hip) remains on the mend.
