Zach LaVine Gets PRP Injection Amid Recovery
5 months agoChicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine (foot) tried to return from a two-game absence Wednesday versus the Charlotte Hornets, but the inflammation in his right foot is worsening, and he received a PRP injection Thursday. Chicago announced Wednesday night that LaVine will require roughly three-to-four weeks to treat his right foot inflammation, so he is likely to stay on the shelf until late December. It compounds a tumultuous year in the Windy City, but the 8-14 Bulls have at least won three straight games as they try to keep their season afloat. It's fair to wonder if the 28-year-old two-time All-Star's setback could affect trade talks, with LaVine's name circulating around the Association quite a bit in this regard. While Alex Caruso has slightly benefitted in fantasy, Patrick Williams is averaging 11.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.8 combined steals and blocks, and 1.0 threes in 32.7 minutes over four games without LaVine.
