Tyler Glasnow Fans 11 Hitters Amid Uneven Start
10 months agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow tossed five and two-thirds innings in Saturday's 8-3 defeat to the Seattle Mariners. The 29-year-old reached double figures in strikeouts (11) for the second consecutive start, but permitted three runs on seven hits and a walk for his second loss of the season. It was a shaky display by Glasnow, who launched only two clean frames and yielded four total extra-base hits before being bounced from the game during a tough sixth inning. Jalen Beeks would come on to strand the bases loaded to help limit the harm on Glasnow's line. The hard-throwing Glasnow takes a vanilla 4.50 ERA and 1.33 WHIP across 36 innings (56 punchouts) into his next scheduled start versus the Atlanta Braves on Friday to kick off a series between two of MLB's juggernauts.
