Trevor Rogers Still Unable To Start Throwing
10 months agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers (shoulder, biceps) remains shut down from throwing. The 25-year-old has experienced a very tumultuous ride this season, hitting the injured list originally with a left biceps strain on April 21 before suffering a partially torn lat while warming up for a June 10 rehab start. It's slowly shaping up as a lost season for Rogers, who represented a popular 2023 post-hype sleeper candidate after following up a 2021 All-Star nod with a 2022 letdown campaign. Fantasy managers in shallow leagues might want to consider spending their IL spot on someone who is closer to a return at this point.
