Ronald Acuna Jr. Goes Yard In Both Games Of Twin Bill
11 months agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. went 4-for-8 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs scored, and a stolen base across two games of a doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday. The 25-year-old's homers were both moonshots into deep center at Comerica Park, helping Atlanta sweep the twin bill against Detroit. Acuna recorded three hits during the matinee, which was the 10th time this year that the speedy slugger tallied three hits or more in a contest. Acuna is hitting a scalding .366 with 11 extra-base hits, 17 RBI, and seven swipes over his last 16 games. Overall, the multi-time All-Star and Silver Slugger is slashing a glittering .333/.405/.580 with 15 big flies, 44 RBI, and an NL-high 29 thefts. Both Acuna and fantasy managers alike should be licking their chops ahead of a four-game set starting Thursday against the Colorado Rockies, who are yielding an MLB-worst .273 AVG against as a team.
