3 weeks agoDetroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (back) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. The big man was able to play 31 minutes during Thursday's loss. It appears Duren picked up a minor back injury in the process. If he sits, James Wiseman figures to move into the starting five and get increased playing time. He'll have low-end streaming appeal if Duren is out.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoDetroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (knee) is listed as doubtful ahead of Friday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. Cunningham has missed each of the last five games due to a left knee injury. The expectation is that the Pistons are going to take the cautious approach and hold out Cunningham. If he sits, Marcus Sasser figures to continue being the primary point guard for this team. He's coming off a strong 20-point performance and is an interesting streaming option until Cunningham returns.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoOklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey (hip) is listed as questionable ahead of Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Giddey is a late addition to the injury report due to a right hip contusion. Luguentz Dort figures to move into the starting five and have increased playing time if Giddey sits out. Cason Wallace is also a candidate for increased playing time, but Dort is the better streaming option between the two of them.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoSacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox (ankle) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns. Fox appears to be fine after suffering a right ankle sprain during Thursday's game. Fox said afterwards that he was fine, so it appears that he was right. Fantasy managers should expect Fox to carry his normal workload ahead of Friday's game.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoGolden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (knee) is listed as probable ahead of Friday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The veteran forward sat out alongside guard Klay Thompson (knee) during Thursday's contest. However, head coach Steve Kerr mentioned beforehand that both players should be active for Friday. The return of Green should push Jonathan Kuminga out of the starting five. Kuminga won't have as strong of streaming appeal while playing off the bench. Fantasy managers should double check that status of Green and Thompson ahead of tip-off.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoGolden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (knee) is listed as probable ahead of Friday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The veteran guard sat out of Thursday's game due to a lingering knee issue. However, head coach Steve Kerr said beforehand that he expected Thompson to play on Friday. He should return to the starting five, which will drop Chris Paul to the bench. Fantasy managers should double check that Thompson is active ahead of Friday's game.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoAtlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (rest) has been listed as questionable against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday due to rest. As of Friday, the Hawks are locked into the play-in tournament and they're two games behind the Chicago Bulls for the ninth seed. If they give Capela a rest day, it seems like the team is okay with heading into the play-in as the tenth seed with the most difficult road to the postseason. If Capela plays, he'd be a solid DFS option as his price tag would be on the cheaper side, but if he's sidelined, Bruno Fernando would be the main streaming option.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (face) has been listed as available on the team's latest official injury report and will be wearing a facemask to protect his nose. The 27-year-old played in the team's last game against the Memphis Grizzlies and delivered 29 points, eight assists, four rebounds, three steals, one block, and three turnovers. The Cavaliers are still vying for playoff positions right now, so each one of their two remaining games is important. Mitchell will be heavily involved, as usual, so he could be a big-time DFS option heading down the stretch of the regular season.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoCharlotte Hornets forward Grant Williams (ankle) has received a questionable tag on Friday for a revenge game against the Boston Celtics. The former Celtic has been inconsistent to say the least, but he's hit a bit of a rhythm lately as he continues to be a starter for the Hornets. With a lot of the core not able to play, Williams is likely to get as many opportunities as possible if he plays in this game. It's unclear if the Celtics are going to be resting their starters since their injury report hasn't been submitted, but Williams' value would increase if that was the case. If he can't suit up, however, Davis Bertans and Aleksej Pokusevski would be quality streaming options.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoWashington Wizards forward/center Marvin Bagley III (knee) will miss his fifth consecutive game due to a knee sprain and this will be his 32nd missed game of the season. Since this is the last game of the year for the Wizards, fantasy managers and those creating DFS lineups can safely drop Bagley until next season. He ended the year averaging 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.2 turnovers per game across 50 total appearances and 25 starts for the Wizards and Detroit Pistons. On Friday, since Richaun Holmes (toe) is questionable, the safer streaming option would be Anthony Gill for big-man stats, but he's an overall risky option.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoWashington Wizards center Richaun Holmes (toe) has been tagged as questionable ahead of their Friday night matchup with the Chicago Bulls. The veteran big man has been a mainstay on the injury report this year, so his status has been even more difficult to judge as the season has come to a close. He hasn't played in the last seven consecutive games and it seems he would more than likely miss an eighth since the Wizards are more concerned with getting the best draft pick possible. If he's watching from the sidelines again, Anthony Gill would be the best big as a streaming option, but is a very risky selection, especially in DFS lineups.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) has been ruled out for Friday's meeting with the New York Knicks. He has missed the previous five games due to right hip inflammation and will be forced to sit out another matchup. Smith is having a tough end to the season and only has one more chance to return to the court on Sunday, as Brooklyn takes on the Philadelphia 76ers in the final game of the year. The backup point guard's absence will likely lead to heavy minutes for Cam Thomas and Dennis Schroder.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets guard Jacob Gilyard (hip) is considered probable for Friday's match-up against the New York Knicks. He has been bothered by a left hip contusion recently, but he should be able to suit up for this game. The 25-year-old was available for Wednesday's contest against the Toronto Raptors but never saw a minute of playing time. The last time Gilyard stepped onto the court was on March 27, only playing four minutes in that contest. He is not a consistent part of Brooklyn's rotation, so not much can be expected from him to close out the regular season.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoBrooklyn Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's matchup against the New York Knicks. He has not played in the previous two contests because of left knee inflammation, and the injury will hold him out for another game. Noah Clowney is expected to continue to remain in the starting lineup and receive a heavy workload again, after playing at least 35 minutes in two consecutive games. Sunday's meeting against the Philadelphia 76ers will be the only opportunity for Finney-Smith to play again this season, as the Nets have been eliminated from playoff contention.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 weeks agoMemphis Grizzlies forward Lamar Stevens (groin) will not suit up for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He is coming off a productive game (16 points, six rebounds, and four blocks) while logging 37 minutes in Thursday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, he is dealing with left groin soreness and will sit out Friday's game. Stevens joins a long list of injured Grizzlies players, which is nothing new for this team. His final chance to return to action will be on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. Trey Jemison will likely take on a large role again.Source: NBA Injury Report
