6 months agoCaio Borralho (14-1) is a perfect 4-0 in the UFC and is set for his fifth fight on the main card of UFC Sao Paulo as he takes on Abus Magomedov. Borralho was supposed to fight Nursulton Ruziboev but a month out, his opponent pulled out and was replaced by Magomedov. Borralho enters this matchup as a sizeable favorite as DraftKings has him at a salary of $9,200, while in his four UFC fights is averaging 84.93 fantasy points. In his UFC tenure, Borralho has won just one by stoppage but has won eight of his 14 career wins by stoppage.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

6 months agoDerrick Lewis (27-11 and one No Contest) returned to the win column back in July as he scored a 33-second flying knee KO win to snap his three-fight losing skid. After the win, Lewis re-signed with the Las Vegas-based promotion and ended up agreeing to step up on about a month's notice to face Jailton Almeida in the main event of UFC Sao Paulo on Saturday. Heading into the fight, Lewis is the biggest underdog on the card as DraftKings has him at a salary of $6,600, while in his UFC career, he's averaging 58.8 fantasy points per fight. In his UFC career, Lewis has won 14 of his 18 fights by stoppage but has also been finished in all nine of his losses inside the Octagon.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

6 months agoJailton Almeida (19-2) is set to headline his second straight card as he takes on Derrick Lewis in the main event of UFC Sao Paulo on Saturday. Almeida is a perfect 5-0 in the UFC and is coming off a first-round submission over Jairzinho Rozenstruik back in May. The Brazilian is the biggest favorite on the card as DraftKings has him at a salary of $9,600. In his UFC tenure, Almeida is averaging 116.49 fantasy points per fight, as he has finished all five of his wins. The Brazilian has only gone past the first round once in his UFC career. --Cole SheltonSource: UFC

6 months agoIslam Makhachev remains at the top of the lightweight division, defeating Alexander Volkanovski by first-round knockout in the main event of UFC 294 on Saturday. The two champions fought for a second time in Saturday's main event in Abu Dhabi, and once again it was Makhachev who emerged victorious. Makhachev unloaded a vicious head kick that knocked Volkanovski down before some ground-and-pound punches secured a devastating first-round knockout. In 3:06 of action, Makhachev landed 24 significant strikes. With this win, Makhachev settled whatever debate remained from his first win over Volkanovski.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

6 months agoAlexander Volkanovski was stepping in for Charles Oliveira on just two weeks' notice but wanted his second chance to take down Islam Makhachev and become UFC's newest double champion. Unfortunately for Volkanovski, Makhachev emerged victorious, successfully defending his lightweight title with a first-round knockout of Volkanovski. The Saturday night fight was a rematch from UFC 284 in February, when Makhachev won by unanimous decision. Requiring time to gather himself following the devastating illegal blow, Walker was subjected to a concussion test by the Octagon-side physician, who quickly determined that the Brazilian was unable to continue to fight. In 3:13 of action, Walker landed 14 significant strikes. It's unclear if a rematch will be ordered between Walker and Ankalaev given the controversial ending to their fight.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBallerSource: UFC

6 months agoSaid Nurmagomedov returned to the win column at UFC 294 with a first-round submission over Muin Gafurov. Nurmagomedov suffered a decision loss to Jonathan Martinez back in March which snapped his four-fight win streak. In the opening moments of the fight, the two bantamweights had a feeling out process, but as Nurmagomedov's back was near the cage, Gafurov blitzed in with some strikes. As he got near Nurmagomedov, the Russian got ahold of a choke and submitted Gafurov in just 73 seconds. With the win, Nurmagomedov improved to 7-2 in the UFC.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC

In his return fight at UFC 294, Ankalaev took on Johnny Walker in a potential title eliminator fight. Ankalaev started out strong as he got a takedown and had over a minute of control. However, just over three minutes into the first round, Ankalaev threw an illegal knee to Walker's head and the fight was stopped. After the doctor didn't clear Walker, the fight was ruled a No Contest. It's likely the two will run it back in the very near future.--Cole SheltonSource: UFC
