MRI Confirms Adductor Strain For Terry Rozier
6 months agoAn MRI confirmed that Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier (groin) is dealing with a left adductor strain, ruling him out for the team's next two games. The Hornets will host the Washington Wizards on Wednesday before paying a visit to the nation's capital on Friday, and Rozier is set to be absent for both meetings. The 29-year-old combo guard strained his groin during the later stages of Saturday's narrow 125-124 win over the Indiana Pacers, and his next real shot to return arrives on Sunday when Charlotte travels to New York to face the Knicks. Adductor strains tend to be multi-week absences, however. Rozier leaves behind 22.0 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game, with No. 2 overall pick Brandon Miller in line to take all the run he can handle in the meantime. Cody Martin (knee) is yet to make his 2023-24 debut due to a knee injury, leaving head coach Steve Clifford's rotation even thinner than it already was.
