Juan Soto Belts 17th Homer In Rout
10 months agoSan Diego Padres left fielder Juan Soto went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBI, and three runs scored in Tuesday's 9-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. The 24-year-old took Alek Manoah deep for a two-run bomb in the first inning before doubling in another run during the third frame. Soto has been a subject of trade rumors as the deadline approaches just as he was in 2022 with the Washington Nationals. This time around, however, the three-time All-Star sits in a pretty favorable situation for fantasy purposes while hitting near the big bats of Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado in San Diego. Soto is slashing .265/.417/.491 with 17 homers, 54 RBI, and six stolen bases in 420 plate appearances this year.
