Dwight Howard 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoWashington Wizards center Dwight Howard seems to be on his way of appearing for all NBA franchises after switching teams for a third straight offseason. For some reason, the Charlotte Hornets didn't want to retain him, even though D12 managed 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds per game with 1.6 blocks last season. There's still life left in the big guy and he lands in a good spot, linking up with John Wall. "John is a helluva player, one of the best passers in our league," former teammate Kemba Walker said in August. "I think he’s going to open up so many opportunities for Dwight." Indeed, Dwight seems like a great partner in crime for Wall as he shot 58.4 percent last season on plays in which he rolled to the basket. Washington's former starting center Marcin Gortat shot only 45.5 percent on the same plays. Howard will keep frustrating owners with his free throw shooting, but he remains a great source for traditional big man stats.
