Cristopher Sanchez Earns First Win On Friday
9 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-hander Cristopher Sanchez permitted two runs on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts in six innings during Friday's start versus the Minnesota Twins. He secured his first win of the campaign. Sanchez served up a couple of solo home runs to begin the second inning, but pitched very well otherwise. Philadelphia had scored 11 of their 13 runs at the time the southpaw was relieved, so he coasted to a win. Sanchez now shows a 3.39 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 53:12 K:BB over 58.1 frames. The 26-year-old is not currently lined up for another start, so there's a chance Sanchez is heading to the bullpen if the Phillies turn back to a five-man rotation.
