Bobby Witt Jr. Homers, Triples In Sunday’s Win
10 months agoKansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run, and three RBI in Sunday's 8-4 triumph over the Tampa Bay Rays. The 23-year-old notched a two-RBI triple during the second inning before leading off the fifth frame with a solo shot. Witt has been raging hot lately, batting .373 with two triples, four homers, four doubles, 13 RBI, and four stolen bases over his last 13 games (51 at-bats). Overall, the former No. 2 overall pick is hitting .259 with a .764 OPS, 16 dingers, 51 RBI, and 27 swipes (374 ABs) this year. Statcast's expected statistics suggest Witt's numbers could be even higher based on his level of contact, which should be music to fantasy managers' ears.
